"We are frequent visitors to Ocracoke, but this was our first stay at The Grey Pearl. We hope it was the first of many, as within a day, it became our favorite place to stay on the island. It is immaculately clean, extremely comfortable, and delightfully inviting. The kitchen, which has received some lovely upgrades since the posted photos, has been appointed with everything you need for the days when you would rather stay in and cook a delicious meal. The comfortable mattresses provide a restful night's sleep and the cozy indoor and outdoor seating areas accommodate relaxing conversations. The beautifully updated bathroom is spacious, with a roomy shower providing a powerful stream of endless hot water. The location of the cottage is simply amazing; while it is within a short walking distance to some great places to eat, shop, and socialize, it is tucked away, allowing for an amazing degree of privacy. The communication from the host is excellent, with near instantaneous responses to any questions. Five stars does not seem like an adequate rating for the best mini vacation we have taken in a long while!"

"The Lucky Buc was exactly what we hoped it would be. Clean, well maintained, off the beaten path. We were there during the nor’easter, couldn’t get off the island. Russell stayed in constant contact with us during the extra days so we could continue to enjoy our stay. Rent the golf cart you’ll be glad you did. Highly recommend this bungalow and these owners. They are good people."

"Nice little cottage we stayed on the beach all day came up showered and went out at night. So didn’t do much else there but sleep and shower. Convenient they have a golf cart you can rent and it’s cheaper then renting form the golf cart places."

"The Charter Room was a fantastic place to stay when coming to Ocracoke! The home was stocked with kitchen supplies, clean, and the mini splits and window units worked great for cooling! The golf cart on site was a HUGE PLUS. We will definitely be coming back to stay on our next trip."
