We arrived 2.30pm, (office hours 8.30-5.30pm) office locked number to call went to bank message to leave a message. Rang the original no. I had and was given a code to enter at unit door. Faced with a black device on door , eventually worked out how to access keypad. I don't class this as good customer service

I was extremely scared I checked in very late 1030pm after working and had an early morning flight. The property is clearly mainly long term rental for homeless. There was domestic arguments happening all through the night, doors slamming and banging. I got no sleep. It was definitely an experience I never wanted to have. I would never stay here again. The rubbish and filth around the outside of the rooms were disgusting. I would love to submit the real property photos that I took it looks nothing like the ad.

My room (number 4) had a massive bedbug infestation. Couldn't sleep at night and my neck felt weird. Woke up to be riddled with bites on it. Bites on my arm and finger to. Usually, you can't see bedbugs, but there was so many I managed to kill 5 of them which splattered blood. The amount i killed meant that there was a long-standing infestation. You're better off not sleeping than staying here.

Property is disgusting falling apart needs bad maintenance, bed was horrible rock hard and only 1 pillow, curtains didnt close completely over the window, motel has permanent residents living there playing music and making noise all hours of the night..no customers service upon check in had to call a mobile number to get a pin to open the unit door..not worth $150 per night feeling ripped off!

Appalling.
Absolutely appalling. NOTHING like the pictures which must be from at least 5 years ago. Run down, dirty, permanents living there. Was more like commission flats than a “motel” The owner was rude and unapologetic.

It is a dated property but the operators are very enthusiastic and engaging, plus it is in a quiet position near to the Hamilton shops.

We have been staying at this motel on and off for over 30 years and it has always been a nice little clean, safe and peaceful place. This time we were extremely shocked by the condition, very run down and not clean, dirty curtains, mouldy chairs in the room. Noisy, a man was running on the roof one of the nights we were there, not sure for what reason but not game to go outside to find out. Looked like the place is now being used as a crisis shelter. Sorry to say that is the end of our association with the Raceways Motel.

Booked with wotif, selected to pay at hotel in person only to find out upon arrive the lady at reception (owners wife) had already taken money from my credit card, then requested an additional refundable $50 for the room that she will inspect when we're ready to leave. Digital key pad for rooms, one of the rooms I booked has a low battery in the key pad so you have to try it multiple times. The rooms smell like they've been cleaned choline, 3 people in both rooms but only 2 towels per room had request more. Meant to queen bed and single only got double bed and single bed. Walls are thin and can hear the next door neighbours. Rooms and bathrooms are way out dated and overpriced to be honest. Way overpriced "continental" breakfast for around $30 per person Honestly can't wait to get the hell out of here Would never recommend this place to anyone
