Away from it all!
We stayed here in August 2017 and had a super week. The weather was amazing and we were in the lovely pool every day without fail.
The house itself is a real home from home. Comfortable beds, quality bed linen and towels and an excellently equipped kitchen with an easy-to-use gas range cooker. The American style fridge freezer with ice maker was a big hit!
The house is very spacious - the layout of the bedrooms really works - as a family of 4 with 2 young children we had the ground floor accommodation and my parents and brother were able to be separate upstairs with their own (very nicely appointed) bathrooms.
There were a lot of games and toys at the Gite which were a big hit - darts, table tennis, pool inflatables etc My youngest son was very taken with the ride on tractor.
The surrounding area is very pretty and very rural. Melle market was great, a real genuine french market with delicious produce. We also had a delicious lunch in Melle at the Secret Garden.
The supermarket at Melle is new and smart with a great range. Only a 7 min or so drive away.
Jill provided a very comprehensive guide to the house and the surrounding area - we were quite lazy as the weather was so good but there are a lot of interesting day trips to be had.
In all we had a really relaxing, comfortable stay here - highly recommend!
