"At first, I was skeptical about a reservation at a place where no one was on site but my doubts were unfounded. I had the best experience with the owners that I’ve ever had in a hotel/motel. They were so responsive and helpful that I was so grateful. They even mailed my husband‘s favorite pants back to him."

"This camp was deal for our gathering of long-time friends…great spaces for hanging out, relaxing, conversation & sharing meals together, not to mention its geographical location worked well for all of the activities we had in mind(The Wild Center, church service at Chapel Island, paddling on Upper Saranac Lake,riding bikes in the new ADK Trail, rail biking at Revolution Rail, checking out Ausable Chasm). The host, Bruce, could not be more generous with sharing information & ideas with his guests! In fact, we enjoyed ourselves so much that we’ve already booked again for a future visit!!"

"Initially we were very confused. Having not ever been to this area, and based on the cover page for the listing, we thought we were staying at the Hotel Saranac. We thought perhaps it had owner operated units within the hotel. Why a VRBO listing for an apartment in a house across the street would use the Hotel Saranac as its first image, and not show any actual images of the outside of the actual house in the listing seemed somewhat like a bait and switch. In the end the unit was decent. It was clean. Check-in process was easy. The owner communicated well. It certainly though was NOT the more upscale accommodations across the street."
