"I normally don't do reviews unless they're exceptionally well or bad, and I was absolutely happy with my stay at Grandview Lake Placid. From the moment we arrived until the morning we left, our stay couldn't have been much better. We had an upper floor room with the mountain view and fireplace, with spectatuclar view of the high peaks in the distance and breathtaking sunset views. Our room was perfectly clean and well maintained by the staff throughout the week. The pool and hot tub were nice to relax in after a long hike. We would walk down from the hotel to the main street where all the restaurants and shops were, but just a warning that it's a bit of a walk with kind of a steep climb but well worth it. 10/10 would recommend staying here to friends and family who want to visit and experience Lake Placid and the Adirondacks."

"It's a historic propery- about 130 years old. But it's in very good shape. The place has character, but with nice attention to detail. The restaurant/bar is great. The fried cod and chicken meatloaf entrees were delicious, but I didn't like the string beans (undercooked). The room was cozy, clean and quiet (we had one facing the lake and not the street)."

"Trailhead was a great place to stay. The staff went above and beyond to help us enjoy our time there. They’ve done major renovations well and the beds and decor was nicely done. We had a nice fire outside and the breakfast bar was good. It was too cold for us but there was a very nice pool. There are some small things they do need to finish up though. The bathtub appeared to have new caulk over old black or moldy caulk. There was an outlet that was hanging off of the wall as well as the toilet paper holder. Overall though, a good place to stay."

"The camp was immaculate. The views are great and the fishing was successful. The owner should know there is a critter taking up residence in one of the walls."

"This camp was deal for our gathering of long-time friends…great spaces for hanging out, relaxing, conversation & sharing meals together, not to mention its geographical location worked well for all of the activities we had in mind(The Wild Center, church service at Chapel Island, paddling on Upper Saranac Lake,riding bikes in the new ADK Trail, rail biking at Revolution Rail, checking out Ausable Chasm). The host, Bruce, could not be more generous with sharing information & ideas with his guests! In fact, we enjoyed ourselves so much that we’ve already booked again for a future visit!!"

"Overall it was a good stay for the price. Should include in the description though, it is under renovation. Beds were not great and need updating as well. Otherwise a good stay. Host was friendly and helpful."

"We had a great time getting the whole family together at this property for the week. There was plenty of space for our 5 families, and the kids had a blast in the basement. We also loved the property grounds! The private beach, the small island - there was so much to explore!"
