"This is a lovely historic hotel close to the art and theatre district. Out room was clean but really needed an update. I understand it’s historic, but there were some soft spots on the floor in a couple of spots that were uncomfortable. The water in the shower was very touchy and unpredictable between to hot and too cold. The room temp was waaay to hot and there was no way to control the temp as it’s a steam coil on the wall situation. All we could do was “turn off the steam and you’re welcome to open the window”. Only one would open and it did not cool the room off much at all. UNTIL the next day, while we were out and then it REALLY cooled it down. Then there was no way to warm it back up because by then they must have gotten enough complaints about the heat so the whole system was off! So now the room is cold and no heat to warm it back up! The staff is friendly and helpful as they can be. Parking here is expensive and perilous. For a lovely as the hotel is, I think I’d skip the stay and visit the restaurant instead to see it. "

"Met my girlfriends there just for a quick weekend visit. The house was great and the location was amazing. We spent the majority of our time in the hot tub! The house was clean, cute, and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was just right. We already talked about maybe going and staying at this house again sometime!"

"We loved our stay. The house has a lot of personality. Well equipped kitchen and absolutely spotless. Great location. Emily was very accommodating and responsive to all our inquiries. "

"The floor was very dirty, no dust pan or broom, coffee was out, and there were no coffee filters. There's supposed to be a cleaning crew, but I have not seen a cleaning crew here for any other room. I'm only here for a week, so I did not want to buy the cleaning supplies that were supposed to be available to me, along with the cleaning crew not showing up. The bed is comfortable. When I arrived, the wifi was not working. After it was fixed though, it works well. "

"The whole place was dirty the bed was in the wtong place space heater was in the way had to roll over bed to get to the washroom place was small had to open all the windows because it was so hot in the place not comfortable there found hair on bed washroom and kitchen had problems closing the closet door and the place was not that clean"

"Beautiful 100 year old home with a lot of space for our large family. The shared driveway had parking behind the home for three cars. The neighborhood felt safe. Host replied promptly to all communications. The kitchen had the necessities. Each bathroom had soap, shampoo, and tissues. The laundry room had detergent and extra towels and sheets.We stayed during the coldest weather in 6 years and the home is 100 years old, so the home had cold areas. The host supplied two space heaters: one for the laundry room to protect the water pipes and one to use in a bedroom. We could have used more heaters - some bedrooms went unused because they were too cold.We would definitely stay again, but only in the spring or fall."
