Top Braddan Parish Hotel Reviews

Halvard Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Rachael at the front desk was amazing. She helped resolve a room assignment issue and provided special help when our ferry was cancelled."

HQ Bar & Restaurant
8/10 Good
"Standard double room good for a solo traveller, but I could see it being cramped with a couple in it, and the walls are very thin. TV’s heard from room behind & above. Breakfast was very good though, plenty of choice"

The Claremont
10/10 Excellent
"Great hotel, delightful staff and very clean room. The breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay there again."

The Empress Hotel
8/10 Good
"Our room was clean and tidy if a little bit quirky. Steps up to bathroom/deep bath, making access to shower difficult. Steps up and down to room on corridor. Didn’t see that when booking? Access to room denied until dead on 3 pm. We had been up from 3.30 am for the early flight from Manchester. We were able to drop off our luggage but even at 2.50 pm denied access - very pedantic receptionist who said our room wasn’t ready, then at the strike of 3.00 said it was. Early access arrangement and late checkout not offered. No air conditioning in room. Stifling hot. View good. Food good. The hotel needs to be more flexible on access to fit in with flights/ferries. Public area toilets need checking more often. I used the basement disability entrance, which could be kept tidier, swept outside and more welcoming. This led into the breakfast area, which was underground, as though we were second class citizens to be hidden away. However, they’ve obviously got a good chef. The hotel was being used by many people other than residents. Mixed feelings about this place."

The George - Castletown Isle of Man
10/10 Excellent
"Spotless room and friendly staff. Great breakfasts (if you have the 'Full Manx' you may not need to eat again for the rest of the day!). Downstairs is a no-frills pub with good bar meals in the evening. Separate breakfast room for the mornings. I had a spacious ensuite room upstairs. Nothing special, but comfortable and worth the money that I paid. I would stay here again."

The Sefton
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was fab staff couldn’t of been nicer fab fab"

The Devonian
10/10 Excellent
"I just very recently came back (July 2026) from almost a week on the Isle of Man and stayed at the Devonian the whole time. I can highly recommend it for the breakfasts, the lovely and responsive staff, the central location, and the spotless rooms. For being a three-star hotel, I felt the value was among the best I've ever experienced traveling. To expand, the staff at the Devonian are obviously invested in giving their guests an enjoyable stay. the breakfasts are delicious and the clear equal of any nicer restaurant meals I've had, and the staff who serve them are warm and caring. The building itself is very charming as well, and the location could not be better. Easy access to all that Douglas has to offer, and convenient to the buses and train that make the rest of the Isle of Man easy to get around on. As an older building, there is no lift, but that was not an issue for me in the slightest. If I ever return to Douglas, I can't see myself staying anywhere else. At the price point, simply unbeatable."

Penta Hotel
8/10 Good
"Room was very clean. Staff were helpful and polite. Breakfast was a continental. The beach view was really nice. The rooms are serviced every other day so ensure you take shower gel with you as the bottle provided is enough for 1 wash only. I would stay here again. Thanks."

Arrandale House
