"Great location along a quiet and private section of the Burnt River, incredibly peaceful and relaxing listening to the birds on arrival.Cottage was very comfortable with great air conditioning for the hot summer weeks and we all slept great. We have a very nervous and reactive dog and appreciated the private nature of the property. Water was great and one of the best spots along the river as far as we could see!Easy 15 minute drive to Fenelon Falls was perfect for many lunch options etc and a great home base to explore the region!"

"We booked a "Newly Renovated 2 Bedroom Cabin" as what was shown on Vrbo and drove 170 kms to get there. When we walked in, the attached photos showed what we saw. Then, the owner came saying that "it was nothing" and they knew how to handle this. The solution they proposed was for them to take 15 minutes to clean the mess up. Yes, it might be sufficient to remove all the trash and construction equipment off the floor. What about the uncovered furniture and kitchen cabinets that were covered with dust? My child is allergic to dust so we had to turn around and drive another 170 kms to go back home. We did get the refund, but what about driving back and forth for nothing and our ruined long weekend plan? Zero compensation from the owner. Quite opposite, the owner accused us of having a bad attitude, since we didn't get our expectation right for staying at a cabin. We book cabins every summer and this is the first time we encountered such a ridiculous experience. "

"The house is huge - the furniture is quite shabby - couches on blocks of wood. Beds are falling apart. Only sheets provided not a single blanket in the house and only a couple of towels. The outdoor area was completely overgrown and the firepit had no usable area to sit around it. The decks were huge. There was no bbq that was usable and the canoe was full of holes. The upstairs is very odd with a railing around a hole in the middle. Pretty much a waste of space. The railings should be checked for safety. The kitchen had a lot of appliances but very few of them worked. We would not stay again."
