"Accueil et service déplorable. Quand je lui ai demandé un petit déjeuner j'ai eu l'impression que je lui demandais de faire une cascade. Là je lui réponds qu'il est 19h45 et qu'il va falloir attende 2 mn que je trouve un autre établissement qui...

"This was such a fun & unique overnight stay on our long drive from Paris to Geneva. Our family of 5 loved the experience of sleeping in a treehouse in the middle of the woods. The accomodation is very charming but of course facilities are quite basic, so be aware that you have to walk a little way to toilets & showers. We drove 15min to eat after the very helpful host Jean pointed us in the right direction. A very memorable experience."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Bourbévelle?
The best area to stay in Bourbévelle is the historic town centre, particularly around the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville and the Rue des Vignerons.

This central area is the heart of Bourbévelle, known for its well-preserved medieval architecture and narrow, winding streets. You'll find many of the town's best restaurants, independent shops, and wine merchants here, all within easy walking distance. The Place de l'Hôtel de Ville is a focal point, often hosting local markets and events.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will find the historic centre particularly appealing. The intimate setting, with its charming squares and tucked-away courtyards, provides a lovely backdrop for strolls and leisurely meals. Many of the boutique hotels in this area are housed in renovated historic buildings, offering a unique and special experience.

For solo travellers who appreciate culture and convenience, staying in the town centre is also ideal. Everything you need is close at hand, from museums and galleries to cafes superb for people-watching.
When is the best time to go to Bourbévelle?
The best time to visit Bourbévelle depends on your preferences for weather and activities, but generally, late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October) offer the most pleasant experience.

Late spring provides warm, sunny days great for exploring the vineyards and countryside without the intense heat of summer. The landscapes are lush and green, and many of the region's gardens are in full bloom. This period is ideal for couples looking for scenic drives and comfortable outdoor dining.

Early autumn is another excellent choice, especially for those interested in the wine harvest. The weather remains mild, and the vineyards are vibrant with autumnal colours. This is a fantastic time for wine enthusiasts to visit local producers and experience the winemaking process firsthand. Many local festivals also take place during this period, offering a glimpse into local traditions.

Summer (July-August) can be warm, with temperatures sometimes reaching high levels, but it's also a popular time for outdoor activities and events.
