We enjoyed our stay and the manager and staff were very friendly. The place was comfortable and we had a fun time. Kitchen supplies were skimpy and not adequate for 4 people (not enough plates, cups, bowls, pots), luckily we brought paper plates, foil to make due.
We enjoyed our host. It was pretty clean except for the stove. I do think the fridge was not working properly it seemed to get hot suddenly and not stay cold. One issue with our cabin seemed to be a lack of a dedicated parking spot. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
I booked this property a year in advance because we were going to be there for work and it was a holiday weekend. We arrived in the afternoon to check in and they did not have a room for us. This was pretty catastrophic as we were starting work that night and did not have a place to take a shower and change after being in 100 degree weather all day working. The host was not helpful. Instead of trying to assist us in finding a room, he kept interrupting us when we were making calls to other lodging and shoving his phone in our face trying to say it was not his fault. He then handed me his phone after calling his website/booking tech person, and that jerk just kept saying it was not their fault. NONE of this was helpful and ultimately IT IS THEIR FAULT because they took my booking, took my money, and did not provide a room. All I was interested in at that point in time was finding us a room within a reasonable distance from our job site and getting my money refunded. We found a room that added 30 minutes to our drive, cost more money due to late booking and it being a holiday weekend, and I am still waiting for a refund that the owner promised to do that night, July 5th. I have had to resort to wasting even more of time contacting VRBO to assist with getting my money from this horrible host. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BOOK this property or just keep in mind that you may be sleeping in your car or pack a tent to sleep in the woods, just in case.
