Great Place

The stay here was perfect for my wife and me. It is close ( 0.5 miles) to the purple line, even closer (.2 miles) to a bus stop, and close to restaurants and a brewery (Notch).Note: Big Daddy's Pizza is very close.2 miles) and was superb!

The Harvard Room served our purpose. We do not like hotels so this was the perfect option. Plenty of room to unwind at the end of the day walking the streets of Boston. Clean and fresh.The hosts were awesome. They were excellent the whole way from communicating proactively to making sure we had no problem accessing the unit, etc.We highly recommend this VRBO option.

Comfortable and Quiet

This property is in a lovely, quiet residential neighborhood within walking distance to Pavement Coffee, the Brighton Emporium (a must-see shop of art, antiques, and oddities!), Star Market, and the Speedway area with Notch Brewery and a variety of dining options (selections vary by the day of the week but Notch allows you to get food delivered as well).This property has the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, surpassing my own. Basic comforts are provided for, and there is a lot of privacy.

Nice room in a good location

Enjoyed my stay at the property . The room was clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay . It is a short walk to the purple line as well as buses . There were good restaurants close to the property .would stay again .

We had a great stay here in this nicely decorated, clean room. The bed was soft and comfy with lots of pillows. There was everything we needed including toiletries in case we had forgotten something. The 10am checkout time was a little earlier than we would have liked but wouldn’t deter us from staying there again

Great base of operations

The Harvard Room was perfect for our two-night stay close to downtown. The room was immaculate, quiet and newly furnished with everything we needed, right down to virtually unlimited coffee capsules. The owners made check-in extremely easy and answered questions quickly. Having a commuter rail station (Boston Landing) only a half-mile away was a big plus. The station for Fenway, Fine Arts Museum and other top Boston attractions was just one stop away. We're hoping to go back soon and continue discovering all Boston offers.

The location was lovely, just what we wanted, close to attractions we wanted to see in Boston. Safe. Clean, A/C. My son loved that we could log onto our own Netflix when we were chilling at night. The Keurig was a nice touch. There were a couple personal items left in the desk from the person before us, I assume, and I think she didn't remember to log out of her Netflix, but that was minor. Overall really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect for what we needed

Check in process was very easy. There is a main code for the door leading to the entry of the two rental units and then a different code for the door to the room. Our code to the room didn't work but the owner responded within a few minutes with a different code. The laundry is right in the entryway to the two units and it was very nice to get to do a load of laundry. The room had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable with 4 nice pillows and plenty of towels were provided. Having parking was a huge perk! It is true what I read in some of the other reviews that you can hear people walking on the floor above the basement unit but honestly it wasn't bad. The walking started around 7 am and we were usually up and getting ready to go explore Boston anyway by that time. The neighborhood seemed safe with nice cars parked on the street, people jogging, and families walking with strollers.

Great location and customer service

We stay in a lot of short-term rentals for travel. This one was a standout. The included parking is a huge benefit. The neighborhood provides walkable restaurants and feels mostly safe. We walked home in the dark, and I wouldn't have wanted to be alone as a woman, but it was fine with a friend. The room was clean and large enough to be comfortable. The bed was SO comfortable. I picky about mattresses and loved it. The house is a bit noisy. You cam hear other guests and people walking above you. A guest came in at about 3 a.m. loudly talking and playing music. But overall people were respectful and there was minimal traffic noise for how bustling an area it is. The little things matter to me. Like there were small toothpaste tubes available. We miscommunicated and neither of us brought toothpaste. What a nice surprise to find some! There was tea and coffee available and the online help guides meant there was zero confusion about anything. There were a couple of inconveniences like the headboard was a little noisy and could be better attached and you get water in the face when you turn the shower on because of how it's set up. I had to say a couple negative things, right? But they were so minimal compared to how great everything else was. The hosts were very communicative and responsive. We didn't have any issues, but I feel like they would be on top if any. Check out was a breeze. There aren't any chores to be done which is lovely. I will definitely see if this place

HOCR Stay

Great location for participating in the HOCR as it is a 20 minute walk to the FALS area. Good coffee shop and grocery store nearby as well. Suited our needs very well!

Just as expected

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable! Communication with the owner was excellent. Great coffee shop close by. A bit of a walk to the train. The bus stop was closer. The only thing I would have desired was some outdoor space to sit in the morning/evening.

Lovely apartment.

This studio is lovely and perfect for 1-2 people, no more. On the other hand, the neighborhood is pretty sketchy. It's not terrible geographically speaking, as it's not far from the airport or BU, but that's where it ends. I was worried about walking around there by myself, even during the day. Brighton looks like it's fine for a couple, but not for a single woman.

Clean and bright!

We stayed for two evenings and found our room to be very clean. After a long day of travel it was nice to sink into the bed and relax. The bathroom was clean and everything worked well. Toiletries and coffee were a welcome touch. I took off one star because the pillows provided no support and I slept poorly because of it, but otherwise, everything was perfect. There are some nice bars and restaurants within close walking distance as well!

Perfect stay for a short visit

The drive to the property can raise questions about the location - I was a little uneasy as it feels like you’re on the outskirts of town. However, upon arrival, you realize that the property is extremely nice and safe. My boyfriend and I were there for a quick 2-night stay. Keep in mind you’re sharing the basement with another VRBO room (completely separated). The room was very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom is updated and also super nice. If you’re only there to sleep at night, it’s the perfect location! The hosts are extremely helpful and have great communication via the app. They let us keep our luggage in storage space after check out - very helpful and kind! Definitely recommend for a budget stay.
