"The property is in the upper side of the town, the view is amazing! Daniele is the perfect host, he knows everyone and everywhere, he can reccomend you the best food spots, beaches and everything else. The room was small but very comfortable, fridge, tv, bathroom and even a small balcony. Breakfast is served from 7:30 and when you get down the stairs you can smell the croissants coming out of the oven. I had a great experience, the historical part of the town is a few minutes walk and the beach is 10 min walk, in the evening (summertime) you can even jump on a small train if you feel lazy :) i definitely recommend it! "Absolute hidden gem in Abruzzo! It is the perfect place to unwind, relax, and just take in nature. The property is completely impeccable. If you are lucky enough to stay here, you absolutely must spend some time chatting with Franco. He is a wonderful 93-year-old gentleman with the best stories about the family's olive oil history and his lifelong passion for racing! Dina is also an incredible hostess who is always around to make sure you have everything you need. Highly, highly recommended!"

"My wife, two teenage children, and two other teenage traveling companions visited Montefortino and it was an all around amazing time and experience! The host and his wife treated us all like family the moment we arrived and he wouldn't rest until he knew everyone was feeling perfectly bliss. They cooked and fed us like kings and queens our entire stay. He insisted on obliging us on any question or simple inquiry to learn more about and enjoy everything in the absolutely beautiful region and environment. The home is a spacious comfort cottage in the mountains. The air conditioners were new, reliable, and everyone slept perfectly sound. An added bonus was knowing we'd be waking up to a delicious home cooked breakfast feast that was waiting for us to enjoy under the beautiful morning sun. The real beauty, however, is the people. On our last night, at our impromptu request, the host and his wife welcomed us into their kitchen to teach our four teenagers to make traditional pasta and desserts. Their loving dogs entertained my family that night and for our entire stay. We ended up eating dinner and celebrating that night with them and a few others from the surrounding towns. None of us were ready to leave when it was time to head out. You don't want to miss this experience!"

"This is a beautiful hotel with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Our room was very hot and the window and shutters need to be kept closed for the simple air conditioner to have any level of efficiency. There were 3 flights of steps which our elderly dog found challenging."

"This was one of the nicest stays I’ve ever had. Paolo and Franscesco were amazing hosts and gave us a full tour to understand the history of the castle. The breakfast was amazing and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Wish I stayed longer but will definitely go back in the future."
