The Regina is only a two star hotel. If you understand that and know that old hotels like this one have very small elevators and often bathrooms, then you will be able to appreciate this one. It is super convenient to the train, tram and taxis. It is very well maintained. Very cleanly. The staff could not be nicer. The price is right! The breakfast was excellent value for money in a pleasant room.

Good choice for travel by train - right across from the station. Older hotel, small bathroom, less than luxurious beds make it less desirable for a long stay.

Perfect location, very easy to get around and great for transfers from the airport. Staff were excellent, i speak no French but the staff more than helped out. Very nice continental breakfast. Would stay again

We loved the Hotel Regina. First for the convenience and liveliness of location, but ultimately for its unique depth of character and wonderful staff. For a first introduction to France, I’d say it can’t be beat!

A quick 2 night stay in Bordeaux
This hotel is very convenient if you arrive from or leaving from Gare St Jean. You can fall out of bed and be at the station. I found the bathroom very small in my room, others could be different. The room itself was nice and comfortable. Access to the main tram lines is just across the street. A nice cafe to quench one's palate is just outside the door.

A great slightly vintage feel in a hotel. Excellent desk staff !! Helpful and friendly. Would like to see USB for electronics charging instead of plugging a transformer into the wall.

The manager was friendly, spoke english and helped substantially. The location was ideal for our use of the gare. The rooms were extremely cramped, the hall toilet was loud, and the lack of AC will be a problem with warm weather

The staff at the reception was nice and helpful. The location is convenient for train and bus to airport. I had a west facing room and was like an full on oven every day even with the fan on. The shower was so slow. At an economic price, there really is not much to say.

A good choice to be close to the Gare St. Jean
We spent one night at the Regina, prior to getting a train to Paris at the end of a three-week vacation in france. It was the perfect location for catching an early morning train, and was quite comfortable. Staff were very helpful, the breakfast had good choices, and the room was a good hotel room. The shower in particular was large , well thought out, and everything worked! While the room was small, shelves and hangars were thoughtfully placed to make it fairly convenient. I would stay there again if I needed quick access to the train station in the morning. One maintenance problem - the soap dispenser next to the bathroom sink was either empty or broken.
