"We had a wonderful time at El Conquistador. The pools were not overly busy, the restaurants were good, and we enjoyed the boat ride to the island and our time at the island. There was minimal construction noise, which did not affect our overall experience. The resort is a historic property so not everything is brand new and modern, which I think is important to know ahead of time. We used self-park, which was a bit confusing at first, but there was plenty of spots and it was convenient for our trip."
