Fantastic Stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jimmy and Jenine’s home. The hosts were very kind and helpful throughout our stay. The home was impeccably clean and had everything we needed. The home is cozy and beautifully decorated. It is located perfectly between West Jefferson and Boone. We hope to stay here again when we visit the area in the future.

What a great stay! We so enjoyed our time and took advantage of it to rest physically and mentally. Most of our time was spent on the porch listening to the creek and watching the birds. Perfect retreat!

Great place to relax

We went for our grandson’s graduation from Appalachian State and really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was very clean and looked brand new. Host were great. Enjoyed the town of West Jefferson as well. And the house has a great porch with lots of furniture to relax on.

Perfect Mountain Stay!

We needed a relaxing getaway and this was absolutely perfect! The hosts are amazing and have thought of everything that you may need! This is the most well stocked VRBO property that we have ever stayed in! The house is spotless. Listening to the stream on the front porch is so relaxing. Easy drive to West Jefferson and Boone. We will definitely be back!!

Wonderful

The home had everything we needed. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Loved sitting on porches and listening to nature. Close to Blowing Rock and if you haven’t been to West Jefferson, it is a must! Ashe County Cheese has some great cheeses plus jams and jellies. We will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful mountain home

This is our second time staying here and loved it even more than the first. The home is exactly as shown. It is so relaxing to stay there. Very close to W Jefferson & the blue ridge parkway. Jimmie & Janine are wonderful to communicate with. We’ll be back for a third time. Highly recommend

Awesome rental!

Jimmy and Jenine make renting their property so easy. We have stayed at two of their properties and each time they were clean, comfortable and very inviting. Everything you need and more. The views at the house are awesome and location between Boone and the Jefferson's can't be beat. We will be back! Van and Christi B.

Everything was great. You have a lovely rental. It was perfect for us. I was a little nervous of the driveway but got used to it. I am a flat land girl so it took a minute. We had everything needed and more!! I hope we will have the opportunity to return.

Great place to stay!

The property was super clean and the check in process was very easy. We received the check-in information in advance and did not have any issues accessing the property. The property owners were super responsive and checked if there was anything else we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with all the basics you need if you decided to cook/grill. You can hear the sound of the river across the road especially while sitting on the front deck. We stayed for 12 days and were sad to leave. We would highly recommend this home.

Just What We Needed!

We were looking for a Mountain getaway where we could relax & enjoy the splendor of the mountains, rest & relax and, of course, find good food! We absolutely loved Jimmy & Jenine's "Mountain Haven"! They were so wonderful to work with, always helpful answering questions and offering suggestions of places to check out. The house was clean, beautifully decorated & centrally located between West Jefferson & Boone. I fell in love with the front porch! It was so nice to sit on the porch swing, listening to the creek & watching the sun disappear into the night...Mountain Haven was just what we needed to rest, relax & explore all the area had to offer! I would definitely stay here again & would recommend it to others!

Annual Family Mountain Vacation

This was our second stay at Mountain Haven, and as expected it was amazing! The home and property are immaculately clean and all the amenities you could need and more are provided. The host always go out of their way to provide for our needs, whether it is a blow up mattress for our child to sleep on if needed, or even offering to let us use their pack-&-play and high chair. We always enjoy the cool mountain mornings sitting on the large back covered deck listening to the birds and the peaceful stream that runs along the bank of the road and at times enjoying breakfast at the patio table. The home is only a short drive to downtown West Jefferson and downtown Boone. Super convenient! Another amazing part of this home, is the property host Mr. and Mrs. Lewis. They are always super easy to communicate with and very quick at responding to your messages. They are also very knowledgeable about the area, and are a good source of information about local places to enjoy. We are so glad to make Mountain Haven a part of our families vacations, and look forward to returning soon!

Hosts have thought of EVERYTHING!

The main focus of my trip was to escape the unrelenting heat of home. The temps were consistently 20° below home. And the constant breeze made it even sweeter. But the best part of my trip is that my hosts were the absolute best in my years of vacation homes. They have thought of EVERYTHING! The motion activated nightlight in the bathroom. The power strip in the basket with a blanket by the sofa. The bottles of water and bags of coffee in the fridge. The directions to everything everywhere. They are the absolutely most thoughtful and deliberate hosts. Only slept in the primary room, but it was amazingly comfy. I spent a lot of time on the deck. The deck furniture is great (too many STVR just put uncomfortable plastic furniture out—not here, it’s perfect) Kitchen is very well stocked. I lacked for nothing. As a single female, the location was private, but not remote. Quiet, but safe. One of my best ever stays. 💕
