Zen Bear Cabin — A Peaceful Mountain Cabin in Boone

About this space
Welcome to Zen Bear Cabin, your private mountain retreat tucked among the pines just outside Boone. Designed for quiet reflection, creativity, and deep rest, this peaceful escape invites you to slow down and reconnect with nature.
Natural light fills the open living spaces, and the elevated setting creates a sense of calm seclusion — like living in the forest canopy. This is not a party house, but a peaceful space for meditation, reflection, and unplugging from the noise of everyday life.

We loved our stay at this cabin. The location was wonderful since we wanted something convenient to Boone. It was extremely quiet, relaxing and had a nice view from the back deck. The cabin was extremely clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The cabin is in a beautiful small gated community.
We had a great time in Boone/blowing rock! This house was in the perfect location. The kids loved the air hockey and bunks, plenty of space for us all to spread out. Beautiful views while drinking coffee on the balcony!
The Cozy Bear Cabin met and exceeded our expectations for a mountain getaway with our family of 6 plus my parents. It was great being a bit out of town with a beautiful view and peaceful mountain sounds. The basement bunk room and game room was perfect for keeping the kids happy! They loved the air hockey, board games, and kids DVDs. Just use caution with toddlers on the stairs since they are pretty steep. The house was impeccably clean and all-around comfortable and cozy, true to its name. Plenty of cookware, dishes, etc to make meals. It was a relatively quick drive into Boone, Blowing Rock, parts of the Blue Ridge Parkway, etc. and we enjoyed exploring but also resting up at the cabin. We would stay again in a heartbeat!
We were surprised by the amount of kitchen utensils and cookware, comfortable space, cozy loft, and plenty of bed space (didn't know the bunk beds were double beds!!!).
Our experience was amazing! The cabin was exactly as described. It was very clean and the attention to interior decor was great. We will definitely rebook here and suggest to friends and family. Highly recommend!
My family has stayed in several VRBO properties over the years and this cabin is close to perfect! It by far has the best view, super easy access, close to town but far enough away and is super clean! We plan on booking again for a summer trip!!
Great experience, 3 siblings age 60+, plus 1 in-law, perfect space for everyone. Easy in and out. Parking easy. Just what we were looking for, Secluded just enough for our enjoyment.
The women in my family get away once a year. This year we decided on the High Country for holiday shopping. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed staying at the Cozy Bear Cabin. It had everything we needed, and plenty of room for everyone. The house was spotless, and easy to find. We would definitely stay again.
This house was well appointed and clean. The views were spectacular. The decor and interior design were so appropriate to give you the cozy cabin feel. There was more than enough room for my family of 5. We will definitely be back for another stay.
When we arrived we had issues with the key lockpad however; the property manager responded very quickly and resolved the issue immediately. The customer service was top notch!.
