Christmas Vacation

Place was beautiful and had all the amenities you could possibly need. We loved having coffee on the deck every morning and even brought our dogs as well as they loved the quiet and paths to take walks on. We will be staying here every time we come to visit family! Highly recommend!

Love this Casita

This is the second time we stayed here and will absolutely be back again. The property is beautiful and exactly as pictured- rural but less than 10 minutes to the I-15 freeway, so convenient to everything. The hosts are super nice people and easy to work with. We love everything about this property.

Perfect vacation stay!

We had an amazing stay for 5 days here with our family. Everything was perfect. Helen was so friendly and welcoming. They left our kids cookies and a flower for our loved one that passed. We definitely would book again next time we come out!

Fabulous getaway home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house. The owners were very communicative and definitely aimed to please. They are extremely nice and friendly people. Rod, who helps to care for the property, was very helpful and friendly too. He was wife was a very sweet person as well.The home is beautiful and very cozy and comfortable. We felt very relaxed here. The views are phenomenal!!! There are 2 outdoor spaces, and we enjoyed both of them. Even though the house is in a secluded area, it's about a 10–15-minute drive to some excellent restaurants and stores. We highly recommend this home, and we would definitely stay here again.

The view of a lifetime

The cozy guesthouse is comfortable and quite private from the adjacent main house. Our small dog enjoyed looking at the llama, donkey, and three goats who were on their side of the fence. And the view to the west and the north is spectacular! A great getaway!

Perfection

We loved everything about this location. Only wish we would have stayed in a little more and utilized the bbq and patio. Gorgeous location, very well set up, friendly host. Everything was clean and worked well Can't think of anything we needed that they didn't have. When we look back on this trip, staying here will be one of the highlights.

Didn’t want to leave

This place is a fine! Even though there are others on the property, it was like we were totally isolated and private. I my wife joke that we needed to put an offer in on the unit we stayed in because it was so perfect and comfortable I’m not very good at reviews, but all I can do is give us the highest recommendation and thank you J and Hallinan for a great place to stay. We will be back sometime in the future.

Almost perfect romantic getaway!

My wife and I had a fabulous stay with gorgeous sunsets all 3 nights. Pictures online were a perfect match for what we experienced first-hand. The owners walked us to the property and gave us a quick tour and even allowed us to have purchased items mailed to the property when the forecast changed to 90 degree weather. Simple beauty, private, and could hear the birds and animals morning and night. A little rustic and shower has super powerful pressure but I think the owners are adjusting that and we loved it overall!

Large Custom Guest House On Hill Top Estate In Bonsall

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at this property it was the type of place we needed for a long stay and was pretty much centrally located to everything we wanted to do and see. My only criticism would be on the cleanliness of the guest house, it was definitely not up to our standards. However bear in mind that my wife and I are very particular when it comes to cleanliness. Our overall impression was that it is a great place with wonderful owners, but would benefit from a deep clean and a fresh coat of paint on the interior, it would look like a million bucks! We would and may stay at this property again. We stayed at the property for 6 consecutive weeks.

Great views but very poorly maintained unit

If all you want is a spectacular view, you will be happy. But the cluttered, rummage sale interior will not impress most short term visitors. The huge old overstuffed furniture was way to large for such a small casita. The refrigerator was dirty and half full of open food containers from a previous occupant. The linen appeared to be clean but nothing else was and we spent the first day sweeping, wiping down floors and dirty counters. We threw out very old food in the pantry including moldy flour, rancid spices etc. There was deferred maintenance in numerous areas including a leak under the kitchen sink, cracked toilet bowl and dried out wood work, Frankly, we should have left after the first night but for the fact that we prepaid and did not want to get into a problem with the owners. This unit was far from prepared for a vacation rental and is very inconvenient to services and attractions, of that we were pretty much aware but we were unprepared for the condition of the unit and were happy to leave two days early than our lease period.

Excellent unique location.Only suggestion to owners is to invest in simple mobile cart that can help guests manage luggage transfer to entance uphill to Guest Quarters.

we really enjoyed our stay here. we spent hours in the morning drinking tea on the back deck watching all the hawks and other birds soaring over the valley. the view is absolutely enchanting. we were very comfortable in this sweet, quiet and clean guest house. the hosts are kind and attentive… we will be back for sure. thank you for everything helen and jay!

This guest house is on a beautiful location with stunning views. There are two areas to enjoy the outdoors with comfortable furniture. The house is bright and comfortable. The shower has instantly hot and awesome pressure. We had a seamless check-in and check out with our hosts who responded quickly. The wifi was great. we were working and chilling and it was a perfect place. we also walked on the property which was wonderful to do close by. I can’t wait to return!
