The best area to stay in Bonnilly is within the village centre itself, particularly around the church and the main square.

Bonnilly is a small, tranquil village, and its centre offers a truly authentic rural French experience. The main square, often featuring a boulangerie and a small local shop, is the heart of daily life. Streets here are narrow and winding, lined with traditional stone houses, and the village church often stands as a central landmark. It's a place where you can enjoy peaceful walks and the sounds of the countryside.

Couples looking for a quiet, romantic retreat will find the village centre ideal. You'll be well-placed to enjoy strolls through the charming streets, perhaps picking up freshly baked goods for breakfast, and experiencing the slower pace of life. It's great for those who appreciate a calm setting and want to explore the surrounding Loire Valley at their leisure.

For families, staying in or very close to the village centre provides convenience and a comfortable base. Many properties in this area offer ample space, sometimes with gardens, allowing children to play.

The best time to visit Bonnilly is during the spring or autumn months, specifically from April to June or September to October, to enjoy pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

During these periods, the weather is generally mild and agreeable, superb for exploring the local countryside and historic sites without the intense heat of summer. You'll find the gardens and landscapes at their most beautiful, with spring blossoms or autumn colours. This is ideal for travellers who appreciate comfortable conditions for walking and sightseeing.

While summer, particularly July and August, offers warm, sunny days, it's also the busiest time for tourism, especially with French families on holiday.
