"I had a wonderful solo getaway at Sands on Golden Lake. The ground floor room opened directly onto the beach, making launching my paddleboard super convenient. Rooms include a mini fridge and a self-serve complimentary breakfast (fresh eggs to cook, toast, and local Madawaska coffee). The resort has a cozy, rustic lodge with a fireplace. On-site dining is great—the fish and chips were delicious, and the dining room has lake views. Safe, welcoming, and scenic. Highly recommended!"

"Was pleasantly surprised to find a jet tub in our bathroom and after a long day on the bike it was a welcome sight. The unfortunate thing is that it looked liked it hadn’t been properly cleaned or used for some period of time. The price was good though, and walking distance to Walmart for a few snacks."
