Playa De Sala

Playa De Sala

10/10 Excellent
"Stayed here for a week, Positives: 1. The staff were excellent. Carlos the bartender was very informative and served great drinks. 2. Ivan the cook was amazing. All the food at the restaurant was delicious. 3. On the beach. 4. There is a dock where you can be picked up by boats you charter. 5. Secluded and private Negatives: 1. Although it's on the beach the water is full of seaweed so it did not entice me to go swimming. It is not clear, unless you go out on a boat. 2. It's a distance from other places but nothing that cannot be reached by golf cart."

10/10 Excellent
"My family (wife and 3 kids), my mom, and two family friends joined us for a week. We had a fantastic time. The house is by no means perfect (its older, a sink started to leak and had to be fixed, doors can be very tight), but the value you get is fantastic, it was clean, the AC was COLD, and you will not find better caretakers than Kodi and Shane (an eariler review mentions that Kodi came back recently due to issues with the prior caretakers). Will, the owner, put me in contact with Kodi a couple of weeks out, and Kodi arranged for us to be picked up at the ferry and shuttled over to the house. Once there, he and Shane went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We treated them like family, and they did the same for us. Transportation, ideas, cracking coconuts with the kids...they were just plain great. Our primary complaint was the sargassum, which was stacked up on the beach and 40 feet into the surf (so annoying and stinky, but not something the house can control any more than the weather). But the sargassum was everywhere on the eastern face of the island, so Kodi got us transportation to Bliss beach (western face), which is awesome. We did several excursions, and the captains picked us up right at the dock. It is a short walk to three excellent restaurants. I would recommend bringing ground coffee if you partake, as it was hard to find decent stuff on the island."

"The place was private, not much sarggasim, long dock, good fishing. This is our second time here, we do like it. AC could work a bit better, but we survived. Would go again."

Island style, laid-back living, waterfront, pool, pier and outdoor shower

10/10 Excellent
"Our group of 7 adults stayed for the week and had an amazing time. The property was beautiful, peaceful and just what we were looking for. The layout was ideal. Pool was perfect size for our group with great outdoor space to enjoy! The home had all we needed for the week; towels, well appointed kitchen, drinking water, a bi-weekly cleaning. Our boat captain was able to pick us up off the dock! We rented golf carts for the week, the drive north takes a few minutes but with the construction of the new concrete road not bad. Ester was a fantastic host, 5 stars. Answering all our questions, helping set up massage services at the home, taxi transfers, her communication was beyond my expectations. I’d highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to stay out of the hustle and bustle of San Pedro center."
