The Jasmine Terrace Retreat: elegant and quiet apartment in the city center

La Porta Rossa is located at the heart of Bologna, a 5-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore, in a quiet street, in one of the most unspoiled areas of the center of Bologna. The apartment is in the context of a renovated and elegant building and is elegantly furnished and equipped with all the comfort, specifically made and finished in order to be destined to be temporary rented. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, large living room with sofa bed all for you exclusively. Oriented toward the inside part of the building is completely quiet and peaceful. It also has a large terrace with dining table. Equipped with air conditioning, very fast wi-fi and complete with washing machine and dryer. In the living room there is a large screen television. The building has an elevator heading down to the floor of the parking space. You can park in the garage at the daily price of 25 EUR plus city tax of access to the LTZ of 6 euro for entry. From the station, the apartment is a 15 minute walk, otherwise you can take one of the many buses that travel along the nearby Independence and Marconi streets. From the airport we suggest to take a taxi which cost does not usually exceed 25 euro. The presence of a garage allows easy access by car.

Location, location, location! The apartment was in the heart of the city and a quick walk to anywhere you wanted to be. We were warmly greeted by our hosts and they were as invested in us having a great stay as we were. They provided us a list of their favorites so that we could enjoy the city as a local and were very responsive to our questions. Bologna is a beautiful city which we enjoyed more than Florence. The apartment is clean, spacious and we enjoyed cooking and doing laundry! We had a fortunate meeting with our host at the train station. They chatted with us as we waiting on our delayed train made sure we boarded and sent us off with a heartwarming good bye. A nice touch to end a great stay. I highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to return. Ci vediamo!

Great host Great location

The Jasmine Terrace, a straight forward 18min walk to Bologna Centrale, and was our jumping off point for day/overnight trips to Florence, Milan, Rome, Ravenna and Venice, and a comfortable rest point in between. Even just walking around Bologna, window shopping, walking to various squares, and poking into nearby museums was enjoyable. The spacious apartment was well equipped and worked well for 2 couples. And we enjoyed the terrace whether for a morning coffee or evening dinner. Our hosts were welcoming and gracious, and we recommend!

Wonder apartment, great host

The apartment was just as described online. It was immaculate. Everything you could need or want for a stay was there. The balcony was delightful for sitting out and enjoying free time. The location was so convenient for sightseeing and shopping. Giuseppina was a thoughtful and caring host. She sent information about the city and her offers to arrange dinner reservations or secure a driver were so helpful. I would highly recommend this location if you are going to Bologna.

Perfect location and most gracious host made our stay fabulous. The host provided an extensive list of attractions, restaurants, cafes, markets, museums, and gelato shops. A food market where locals shop is only steps away. There is also a pharmacy, and dry cleaners. The main piazza is very close. We would love to come back again.

The Red Door Apartment and our host, Guisippina, were both wonderful. The apartment was clean, comfortable, attractive and in as good a location in central Bologna as one could wish. Guisippina took care of us as if we were family, on arrival, during our stay and on departure. Highly recommended.

What a perfect property, fantastic location, lovely patio & the property is immaculate. The hosts Guiseppina & Marco could not have been nicer or more helpful with all aspects of our visit. They provided a huge range of information on museums, attractions, art galleries, restaurants & transport. They also made reservations for us at a local Trattoria & arranged private transfer to the airport.

The best in Bologna!

We had a wonderful stay at Giuseppe and Marco’s apartment in Bologna. They were great hosts… communicative, responsive, and helpful. Very lovely people! The apartment was spacious and well equipped. We loved the furnishings and design. The outdoor patio was also very nice. It was also really convenient that they had parking available in the building, since we had a car. We hope to come back and stay here again in the future.

The jewel in the crown is the spacious terrace with it’s abundance of succulent plants. A lovely area to relax in with a glass of local wine
