WiFi didn’t work on second floor, which was a pain, and the door guy fell asleep one night so it took me 20 min to get in. But the day time staff is super nice, and I liked the property quite a bit, would stay again.

Decent location, but not quite as advertised I stayed at Casa Real 93 for 2 nights during a 7-day trip to Bogotá. The hotel has a great location—it’s safe, central, and just steps away from Parque de la 93. However, my experience was mixed. First, the photos online don’t quite match the current condition of the hotel. The property feels dimly lit and understaffed. While the room was clean, the included breakfast was very basic and underwhelming. I had booked a room with a bathtub, but upon arrival, I found a sign stating it couldn’t be used due to a water rationing issue—something that was never mentioned during booking or check-in. Additionally, there were no basic amenities like a hairdryer, iron, or ironing board in the room, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, if you’re just looking for a no-frills, safe, and centrally located place to sleep, this hotel could work for you. But if you’re expecting comfort, decent food, and full amenities, I’d recommend considering other options.

Only pro was good location. All the Cons: 1. Unsafe hotel. My family had to sleep with the sofa against the door because the lock didn’t work and the hotel didn’t do anything to resolve the situation, 2. Old mattress filled with holes, old bathroom equipment that didn’t invite, 3. Bad service from the host and hotel staff with bad attitude and not willing to give a good experience, 4. Imposible to comunícate from long distance to coordinate transportation from the airport. I DONT recommend this hotel.

Make sure you check your hotel room locks 🔐

Well to start off the staff was very nice and breakfast buffet was ok. The bed was comfortable and everything about the room was great except for one thing. The door would not lock. I went to the front desk multiple times to straightened out this issue and the kept saying they will fix it. The guy gave me a physical key 🔑 also and that didn't lock the door either. They wouldn't give me a different room and the hotel was not full. I couldn't sleep well due to worrying about someone coming in and when I went out I had to take all my money, credit cards, and passport with me all the time which is not a good position to be stuck in. I couldn't believe that we couldn't get this resolved. Also, you will spend a lot of time waiting to get into the hotel when you come back from your activities waiting for the guy to open the front door to the hotel. One time there was 9 people all waiting to go to their hotel rooms. So the place is not bad it just needs the staff to run the place better. Good location though I must say.
