This is my second time staying at Hotel 109, and with respect to both of my visits, I find the staff to be exceptional! Professionally friendly, they accommodate enthusiastic and kind people. one of my favorite places to stay!

La habitación muy confortable, lamentablemente la ducha de agua caliente no funciono y aun después de solicitar ayuda no la arreglaron, lo cual para una ciudad como Bogotá es indispensable más cuando uno es turista, el desayuno me pareció regular la atención muy demorada y poco personal para atención, deberían tener esos aspectos en cuenta porque esos detalles hacen no queres hospedarse nuevamente ahí.

this was the worst hotel and service i have ever seen i didn't get the managers name as she was to busy fighting with the staff, my wife and myself about the mistake she had made instead of trying to resolve the problem of over booking and giving us a room as a suite she first off tried to lie and tell us that the 2 single bed room with with broken pictures and and desk was there suite after an hour of making up stories and excuses she finally told us we would have the suite for the other 2 night we had reserved when we asked about the 50 dollar difference she once again tried to lay the blame on us .....i feel sorry for the nice people that have to work under this women .....many great hotels in bogota do NOT stay here

For people who needs to be at the north of Bogotá

This is located in a good zone (close to Pepe Sierra and 15 Avenues); there's some good and tradicional malls close to it, you can go to Unicentro, Hacienda Santa Bárbara or Santa Ana malls just walking (15-20 minutes sweet walking); if you want to go to the center of the city and you don't want to use the public bus service (Transmilenio), the location's hotel can be a little difficult to go to the center of the city; there's peak hours when moves across the city can be hard, but if you use this buses and you want a clean room, good service, nice free wi-fi connection, good enough breakfast and gentle staff, this is a good choice.

Far from City Center, no english speakers

A decent hotel but very far from the City Center (old town - La Candelabria). Approx. 16 km (10 miles) and 30-40 minutes taxi drive (for around 10 USD each way). So remember to add this to your budget (we wanted to use public transportation but at the hotel there were no english speakers at all, so it was impossible to have any information from the staff). Breakfast are included but limted to eggs various styles. Wifi slow but worked decent. At the end they wanted to charge me 5 USD for the chocolate bar I didnt have from the mini bar and demanded extra 10 USD beacuse of the exchange rates (?!).I refused and they backed down but still…. Area is safe, kind of upscale in Bogota but the restaurants in the area are twice as expendive as in the La Candelabria (we paid around 50 USD for a dinner for two compare to 20-30 USD for the same food in the City).
