This recently remodeled hotel is a hidden gem on the San Antonio Riverwalk. We are locals and have stayed at several hotels on the Riverwalk. We just stayed for a week and this hotel really stands out for the following reasons: (1) the rooms look brand new and are tastefully decorated, (2) the hotel is on the quiet side of the loop which makes for quieter evenings (unlike many of the hotels), the employees are very friendly and accommodating, (4) guest services takes service requests seriously and resolved two minor maintenance issues for us immediately, (5) the pool is very nice with plenty of chairs and lounges available for all ( plus incredible views!), and (6) the hotel is very generous and does not charge for bottled water in the rooms, couches and beds in the pool area, etc. We were able to afford a large suite at for the price of a regular room at competing hotels. We will plan to stay here again next year!

Online said no parking fees, NOT So! We were put into old room showing wear and tear , seemed like a handicapped facility, we are in our 80's but very able. Bathtub was especially challanging with old fixtures. Key to door required several tries Spots on carpet

Was not advised the valet parking would be nearly $50/day. Easentially making the stay exceed $200/day. Not out of line but should have been disclosed up front

The property is alright for a quick overnight. I don’t think I’d want to spend an extended amount of time at this hotel. The restaurant (The Gavel) had fantastic service.
