Thunder Mountain Retreat accommodates a private romantic escape, or group of 8. The cabin is conveniently located at the top of Thunder Mountain in a private mountain community thats boasts the best long range mountain views Blue Ridge has to offer. Conveniently located 5 miles to Mercier Orchards, and 7 miles to Downtown Blue Ridge. Close to many attractions, grocery stores and restaurants. Come and enjoy your private get away today!

Thunder Mountain Retreat is a cozy 3 bedroom, 3 bath home with mountain views through out the cabin. There are two spacious living rooms on both main floor and downstairs. Kick back and relax in front the gas log fireplace . Each living room equipped with fireplace and 55"smartTV(no cable) Netflix, and Fubo provided. Complimentary WIFI. Downstairs has Kitchenette with refrigerator and sink, Jack Daniels hightop table, Foosball Table and a variety of card and board games.
Open kitchen located on main floor is fully equipped with gas range, microwave, drip coffee maker and Keurig, toaster, blender, etc. Large custom dining room table is perfect for entertaining and having guests to dinner.
Outside has wrap around decks with long range Mountain Views on 3 levels. Relax in chairs on the deck and enjoy the view. There are 2 outdoor wood burning fireplaces and sitting areas on the main floor and downstairs.
There are 2 wooden swings overlooking the beautiful North Georgia mountains on bottom floor.
Master bedroom is a King sized bed upstairs with private large walk-in glass shower, and garden tub. 32" smart TV (no cable), walk-in closet, and private deck with sitting area.
Main floor bedroom is a King size bed with Smart TV (no cable) walk in closet.
Downstairs bedroom had 2 sets of bunk beds (4 twin sized beds)that are great for adults or kids.
There is a bathroom with shower on each floor. Main floor bathroom also has full size washer and dryer.
Great cell service, but there is a land line for local calls if needed.
3 minutes to closest hospital and 5 minutes to closest animal hospital.

If traveling with a bigger group and need more room, message for details on house close by.

No Guns, paint guns, or fireworks on property.

Fall Getaway

The property is spacious inside and out. The views are great from the outside deck. The group loved the inside and outside fireplaces which we used every day. Great location which is tucked away down a wooded, gravel road. Easy to get to shopping, activities, and downtown Blue Ridge.

While the views from the cabin were exquisite and the cabin was nice, our stay was not stellar. The outside porches were dusty and covered in spider webs. When we arrived, the door code didn’t work so I called the number to contact the owner. The owner At this time was responsive and got the code reset. After finding that the indoor gas logs in the living room fireplace didn’t work and the gas grill was not functional, I texted and later called the number given in the instructions book left by the owners. My call went to voicemail so I left a detailed message and my phone number. I never received a call back. The outdoor furniture on a lower level was covered in debris and filthy. It was most disappointing to plan a trip that my husband and I had anticipated and find our accommodations were not up to par. In the trees next to the cabin, there were bags of garbage strewn about.
