Carmen and the Inn staff were so warm and inviting, the building design provided lovely private space for family time inside and outside on the west-facing deck and lawn with ample chairs. The sunset over Great Salt Pond was beautiful. This is our new favorite location on Block Island - a must-stay for future visits!

Excellent. We’ll be coming back.
One of, if not the, cleanest inns I’ve ever stayed in. Very nice staff. The room was perfect for the two of us. Having beach towels and chairs available to us was a nice bonus. Breakfast was standard, though if I had to nitpick I wish they had some fresh fruit. The donuts were great.

We loved our stay at the Payne Harbor Inn. Our room was lovely, nice view of the harbor and boats not far away. The Inn is walkable to a few good places to eat and a very short driving or biking distance to the heart of town. The inn itself is very welcoming, with large porches on the front and back. Breakfast was tasty, with fresh muffins and Payne donuts.

Simply the best! Lovely people run this beautiful house with its antiques and history laid out for you to peruse. Very nice breakfast gets you geared up to walk the short distance to the beach with guest house towels & chairs! Clean & pretty with gorgeous porches & fantastic views! Super !!!

Great family stay
Hosts are amazing- great communication- very welcoming. Had a great time. We came at the end of the season so they were super helpful in direction to what was open vs closed in the island. The sunset view could not be beat

Quaint inn
Very nice hotel in a quiet part of the island. Very nice room. Nice view of new harbor. Nice breakfast. Very friendly host. Only stayed one night, but would definitely come back.

Carmen and Joanne were welcoming, extremely hospitable and amazing. Carmens donuts and cookies are beyond delicious. (she leaves them in a basket throughout the day, for her guests) Joannes breakfasts are perfect. I have stayed in ALOT of hotels, this was by far, the best experience. The entire place is spotless and the decor is so Beautiful, welcoming and comfortable. I will definitely be returning. Thank you Carmen!

We had a great time at the Panye hotel. Staff is very friendly. Room was very clean. Great location. Centrally located on the island. Everything is within walking distance. But a bike is highly recommend to get to places fast so you can see more of the island. The donuts at breakfast are amazing. Homemade!!!!

This property is meticulously maintained and the proprietors are very friendly. We've stayed here twice so far and made reservations already to stay next year. It's far enough away from the city center to be quiet, but close enough for everything to be within walking distance.

Enjoyed our one night stay. Owners and staff were friendly and very helpful with recommendations. Lovely view of the New Harbor area and nice place to watch the sunset. Great location and an easy bike ride from town. Would stay here again on a return trip.

We are sorry you were less than happy with our breakfast selection. Most guests enjoy our service, and we have never been criticized for it. We actually advertise a "Continental Breakfast", but have decided to do more for our guests. It's unfortunate that we fell short of your expectations.

Perfect!
Beautiful views from our private balcony! Room was clean, bathroom spotless. Breakfast was great...sausage, eggs, muffins, bagels, juice and your favorite breakfast cocktail...amazing! Plenty of ssitting room and a place to store your luggage while waiting for your room or going to the ferry.

Amazing Hospitality
Payne’s Harbor View is an excellent place to stay. The staff was attentive and accommodating, and the location can’t be beat. First of all, we were greeted with a smile and conversation, shown around the inn and offered a place to keep our luggage before check-in and after check-out, creating a very homey atmosphere. Our room was spacious and clean, as well. Unfortunately, the television didn’t work; however, one quick phone call to the innkeeper was all it took to remedy the situation. Breakfast, albeit a buffet, was fantastic, with eggs, assorted breads and muffins, ham and Payne’s ‘killer’ donuts. I highly recommend Payne’s Harbor View Inn. We had an amazing time there. We will be back!
