"This is a beautiful old home. I found out it was built in the 1800's and was moved to the location it sits on now. The staff was very helpful and even though there was a slight mix up when I got there it was quickly resolved. The shower in the room I stayed in was very small. The bed was very soft. It did not occur to me to ask if they had a room with a firm bed. There were a lot of pillows on the bed which reminded me of my home bed. I did not understand the wide gap at the base of the door. All rooms had this gap so there must be a reason, it slipped my mind to ask."
Eco Cabin by River-Extensive Decking Areas, Private Pier, Private Floating Dock
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay at this cabin! We were in town for a wedding, so unfortunately we didn’t get to spend as much time enjoying the cabin and property as we would have liked. The deck overlooking the Cape Fear River was awesome, and even though there were other cabins nearby, the property still felt secluded and peaceful. We loved the fire pit, flat-top grill, and hammock, and the kids really enjoyed the loft beds. Everything was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The shower had great hot water, and the weather was perfect, with plenty of shade to enjoy the outdoors. We would love to come back for a longer stay and have more time to enjoy everything this place has to offer!"
Serene 1-bedroom condo with lake access in White Lake
10/10 Excellent
"Serene and quiet. No direct view of the lake, but a one minute walk put you on a Beautiful bi-Level dock with a view of most of the lake.Bed was very comfortable.Be prepared to walk some stairs.Had a minor issue with the heating system. But Tina was quick to respond and assist via text."
"Super clean, reminded you of stay from years gone by. Attractions were closed for the season. Understandable but would be nice if a few more things were open at least for short hours during off season especially spring and fall as the lake was certainly warmer than the ocean and more suitable for younger swimmers. But overall a great experience for a get away with the kiddo. Local restaurants we tried were all tasty. Definitely recommend."
