  • Enjoy Piney, an eclectic and comfortable, totally redone single family home in the quaint mountain town of Black Mountain.

    We are offering a **Special** per night rate.
    Come enjoy the mountains and color change in the Fall. It’s a great time to be in the mountains. We are now voted a SuperHost on Air-Bnb.

    This home is in a great location. You are just a few minute drive to downtown Black Mountain and food and shopping options. You are just a 5 minute drive to Montreal College and Conference Center and 20+ amazing trails for hiking. Asheville is just a quick 10 minute drive.
    We have easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Lake Lure and Chimney Rock.

    The Space
    This home was built in 1950. We have brought it back to life with fresh paint on the ceilings and walls. The wood floors have been sanded. The bathroom and kitchen have been redone. There are new mattresses in the 3 bedrooms a king, queen and full. All rooms have been updated with new shades and curtains. Our home sits on more than 1/2 acre lot with plenty of space. The backyard is fenced and there is a fire pit.
    We have a large front porch with an old timey glider.
    We are on a paved cul-de-sac.

    We will allow 1 dog, less than 50 lbs, or 2 small dogs. No cats.
    There is a $50 pet fee for stays less than 1 week.
    Please let us know that you are bringing a dog.

    We do have a brand new microwave, stove and Keurig coffee maker with a number of different coffees.

    Guest access
    You will have the entire house. There is a music room small building outback that you will not have access to. It is not occupied.

    Other things to note
    Bedding and towels are provided.
    Netflix and Amazon Prime are available.

Cozy and eclectic

We enjoyed out time away in the Black Mountain area. The house had plenty of amenities, a bath and a half for plenty of room .The decor was eclectic and interesting.

We spent a few days at this home, with our dog, for my husbands birthday. The neighborhood was very quiet, the home was very cozy and the yard was perfect to throw a ball around for our pup. It was so easy to get to all the spots we wanted to go to in Black Mountain. Jim was very attentive when we had questions.

Charming Cottage

Relaxing holiday getaway.

Cozy 50’s home was comfortable place to rest and enjoy convenience of beautiful downtown Black Mountain just a short ride away.

This was such a perfect house to stay in the mountains! Minutes to downtown Black Mountain, and the kids really enjoyed the fenced in back yard to run and play. Will definitely be looking forward to booking again next time we’re in town

Pet friendly great fenced yard, safe and pretty. Nice to watch the sunset. Gated front porch also nice for pets. Bathroom outdated, sink tiny, shower water pressure not great. Kitchen fine, oven needs cleaning, curtains need a wash. Bed comfortable. Goodocation

The stay itself was fine. What followed on the day of checkout wasn't. My partner and I booked this home for our anniversary weekend, and within hours of leaving, the host sent a 1,005 payment request accusing us of smoking in the house - all before I even had a chance to respond or ask what was going on. No evidence, no photos, and a story that changed twice within minutes: first the incoming guests smelled smoke, then it was the cleaners who found "cigar butts." Neither of us smokes at all. We disputed through Vrbo, who contacted the host for evidence. He provided none. Vrbo confirmed in writing the charge was unsubstantiated and instructed us to ignore the payment request. I would not book again and urge caution to others to look elsewhere
