Very comfortable room with a sitting area with two chairs. Hotel rooms often have only one chair if any, yet sleep two. The patio was excellent and the view of the creek was great. The hotel could improve the lighting. Even with all lights in, it was tough to read.

The Wayfinder was such a pleasant surprise. The grounds are gorgeous and tranquil. The team at the hotel were friendly, professional and a pleasure to talk with. Breakfast was delicious and I loved that I could walk to great restaurants.

The property looked like a spa online, however, they neglected to show that between the hotel and the mountain view is a bowling alley, parking lot, dumpsters, and trailer park. Very misleading and not worth the money I spent to have a more luxurious experience. Would have been better off with a cheaper hotel.

Terrible view. We were put on the 1st floor with a sliding door to the back parking lot, did not feel safe! Facility smelt/felt musty.

The property is lovely with a creek running through it and several patios to rest and enjoy the creek. Our room had its own patio and a view of the creek.

The creek side grounds are lovely. If you possibly can, get a second floor room with a balcony overlooking the creek. It is so worth it. Friendly check in and nice room. However the halls are dark and the carpet on the stairs up to the second floor are disgustingly dirty and need to be replaced. I was afraid I had checked into a dump so I was very happily surprised when I got our room. Great pool and seating areas along the creek. Will stay here again. Just need to look past the hallways.

Beautiful property. Beautiful rooms. Seem to be doing work in the eating areas when we stayed. So breakfast was set up kind haphazardly. Only downside to room was very poor water pressure in the shower.

Creekside provides water glasses made of actual glass instead of throwaway plastic. There also provide Gilchrist & Somes bar soap which is high end classy. I’ve stayed here many times and would not hesitate to do so again should my travel bring me back to Bishop, CA.

Accidentally double booked myself at this property with one reservation paid for and the other due at the time of check in. The manager kindly agreed that, as a courtesy, they would cancel the unpaid reservation with NO PENALTIES. He had me call Expedia to verify the cancellation so the hotel would not have to pay Expedia for the booking. The next day I woke up to 4 charges from the hotel (totaling more than the canceled booking)…when I asked the manager about the charges he became belligerent, yelling at me. I’m in shock that any business would behave in this manner and have notified my bank of the fraud. They are flat out thieves!!!

Beware, not all rooms have the creekside view. Half the rooms have a view of the parking lot and NO patio chairs. Breakfast buffet was good food, servers did not maintain buffet. No utensils, food on the floor, tables not bused, foods in buffet not replenished. Employees basically stopped working 30 minutes before closing.

At the time of our reservation Cal Trans was out front stopping cars and trucks advising of bad weather ahead sending Trucks in another direction. Cars going to Reno were told to either plan on staying in Bishop for the weekend or leaving town immediately. I expressed this message to the Hotel Manager as a way to credit my When I lived in Bishop a few years ago I used to place a number of swim team personnel in his Motel but after this experience other plans will be made.
