We arrived at the property and had raised several concerns, but unfortunately, we have only received apologies without any meaningful accommodation or resolution.
Specifically:
• The floors and bedroom carpet were not adequately cleaned. The carpet is leaving black residue on our feet which is then spread into other areas. We had to clean the floors ourselves.
• The couch has noticeable stains.
• The dining room chair is not suitable to sit on front legs we’re bent and cannot take weight.
• The vacuum cleaner was full of debris had to clean it out to use.
• We were provided with minimal toilet paper for a 12-day stay, only one garbage bag, and no cleaning supplies (not even dish soap).
• There is no fan available, which is particularly difficult during this ongoing heatwave. Local stores are sold out, forcing us to spend time searching instead of enjoying our vacation. Place was south facing sun all day and we couldn’t leave the window open when we were out . Lots of road noise close to a Main Street.
They do not provide Parking .
These are basic expectations for a comfortable stay, and addressing them promptly would make a significant difference. We are here for a short time to relax and explore the area, not to run errands for supplies or deal with these issues ourselves.
We have stayed in many other accommodations where the hosts ensured everything was ready and our experience was enjoyable. Location was good for my needs a Pub and Tesco was across the street.
