You will need to walk up the driveway and cross the main road to access the groomed trail. We recommend this ski access for a more experienced skier. Young children and beginners may struggle.
Ski Out- Walk up the driveway and cross the street (Lone Mountain Trail). Once across the street, you will be on Swift Bear Road. Catch the groomed, residential ski trail leading you to the White Otter Lift. From White Otter you will partially ski down the Lower Morning Star run to make your way to the main base area.
Ski In- Find your way to the Cascade Lift (residential access lift) plan to do some side stepping or skate skiing for a short distance up-hill when getting onto the Cascade lift. Once off the lift you will need to walk up a set of stairs to get back onto the groomed trail. You will make your way down trail (B) to get back to the house. This trail is best for skiers, snowboarders will need to keep up their speed. Once back to Swift Bear Road, you'll need to cross the road and walk back down the homes driveway.

Little Wolf Cabin provided everything we needed for a long weekend at Big Sky. The cabin was quite comfortable for our party of six. If you use for skiing, it should be known that ski in/out takes some time and you may be better off parking closer to the mountain. I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks so much!
Beautiful log cabin atmosphere. Home in excellent condition and was equipped with everything one could need. Wilson Peak Properties is extremely responsive.
We had a wonderful stay!! The house was very comfortable for our family. Beds were excellent, and kitchen had everything we needed. Can’t say enough good things about our stay, but the views were breathtaking. Montana during summer is amazing.
It was a great property. Everything we needed was available. The location was great. The turn to the property was a little hard to find but we only because we arrived at night.
Great location with great amenities. We saw elk, deer, moose, and fox all right from the balcony. And the Foo Fighters concert was and extra special treat.
This wonderful cabin in the woods was perfect for our family. It had plenty of comfortable space for everyone. The wrap around porch has an amazing view! The house had everything we needed. It was a true blessing for our family!
Very pleased with the our experience at Little Wolf. The cabin was clean and in great shape, with everything in top working condition. Appreciate the well stocked kitchen which had most everything we needed for preparing meals. Part of our rationale for booking was the advertised ski-in/ski-out, which we never attempted because it was so easy to drive to the free parking areas at the base. Would book again!
10/10. Great experience from start to finish. Check-in process was clear and stress-free, house was clean, well-equipped, and designed to be the perfect vacation home. Questions and concerns were easily conveyed via text message and promptly responded to.
The Wilson Peak Property team was absolutely great to work with. There were just a couple things that needed sorted out at the beginning of our stay (operator error on my part mind you, lol) and they were there the next morning and willing to help! The property was beautiful! The cabin was even more amazing than the pictures, as well as fully stocked with more than you will need! Thank you for some great memories for my family and I. We will definitely return in the future! Thanks again!
We had two families stay here (4 adults and 4 kids between 8-12) and really enjoyed our week at Big Sky! The cabin was just as advertised and was nestled into the woods, making it seem very private. There was plenty of space to spread out and it was nice having 4 bathrooms. The wood burning fireplace was cozy and the hot tub was awesome after a day of skiing. The house was a short drive to the mountain village base (3-4 minutes). We did not attempt the ski in/out as you have to cross a busy road, but driving and parking at the base was very easy and convenient. The kitchen had everything we needed. I would recommend this house!
We were really pleased with this property. We were 2 familes of 4 with the "kids" all being in their 20s. The house was set up very well for our group. We loved the privacy as well - not a house in sight, just beautiful views of the snow, woods and mountains. The hot tub was great. The Ski In option was tricky with spring conditions and took a lot of time. We found it easier to drive to the Madison base (where you can park for free and no need to take a shuttle). Kitchen was really well equipped and well labeled. Walls are a bit thin so once a few people are up everyone is up, but that was not an issue since we were all skiing. Would definitely stay here again!
The kitchen was very equipped. The master bedroom had the best comfortable bed. The hot tub was very clean and worked perfect! While we were in the tub one day, a very large beautiful fox paid us a visit. The evenings were so quiet and peaceful. We absolutely loved our stay!
Beautiful home surrounded by nature and just a quick 5 minute drive to the Big Sky resort. We even had a little fox that would come out for a visit in the mornings. The kitchen was very well stocked and the layout was perfect for our extended family of 7. Highly recommend- we would definitely stay here again.
The house was great. The customer service from the property management was best I’ve ever dealt with.
The location of the house was perfect.
We will definitely be back.
The property was incredible! It was very secluded, extremely clean, and offered tons of amenities. The views were spectacular, and could easily fit two families. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a more secluded getaway cabin near Big Sky.
Beautiful property, clean, well-stocked, and so much fun! Great location about 5 mins from Mountain Village base - super convenient for skiing! We had a massive amount of snow and the management company (thank you, Amanda!!) got the plows out there. Highly highly recommend and will book this property again and again!
We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin. Three couples -- one from Boston, one from DC and one from the Bay Area -- this was the perfect place to meet up for a ski weekend. Wilson Peak property managers were highly responsive, provided very helpful guidance and suggestions. Looking forward to returning next year!
