About this property
Private Hot Tub | Ski, Soak, Repeat | Big Sky Meadow Townhome
Welcome to Firelight Meadow Vista!
Your Big Sky trip starts the minute you pull into the garage at Firelight Meadow Vista. This townhome sits in the Firelight neighborhood of Meadow Village, about a mile from Big Sky Town Center for dinner and a drink after the slopes, with Big Sky Resort an easy drive up the mountain. Open the slider to the back patio, look out over the meadow toward the mountains and start planning the day.
Spend the day chasing powder or hitting the trails, then come home to a layout where everyone gets their own space. Every bedroom has its own en suite bathroom. The Primary bedroom upstairs has a king bed and a double vanity, a second upstairs bedroom has a queen bed, and a main level bedroom with a full-size bed is perfect for anyone who would rather skip the stairs. Downstairs, the open living room, dining table for six and kitchen bar with four stools keep the whole crew together, and a small playroom and a stack of games keep game night going.
When the stars come out, step onto the back patio and sink into your private hot tub with the meadow stretching out in front of you. Throw a log on the river rock wood-burning fireplace, fire up the grill for dinner and settle in. Whether you are here with your ski crew, your family or a few old friends, this is the kind of place you start planning your next trip to before you have even checked out.
Winter Big Sky Resort is the biggest skiing in America, and it earns that title every single year. With 5,800 skiable acres, 4,350 feet of vertical drop, and an average of 400+ inches of snowfall annually, it delivers for every level of skier and rider. When you are ready to step off the slopes, the historic Lone Mountain Ranch has 85+ kilometers of groomed Nordic trails through the wilderness, voted the #1 cross-country ski resort in North America. Beyond that, Yellowstone National Park, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, dog sledding, ice fishing, and world-class spa experiences are all within easy reach.
Summer The mountains do not slow down when the snow melts. Within minutes you have world-class fly fishing, river rafting, golf, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and zip-lining at your doorstep. Follow the scenic Gallatin River along historic Highway 191 and you are at the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park in just 45 minutes. Stay long enough and you will find free concerts, farmers markets, and weekly events scattered throughout the season.

Warm comfortable home with great fireplace and cozy living area. Had all we needed for a relaxing respite after a day of Big Sky skiing. So nice having a connected garage and thanks for the seasoned firewood!
Wonderful town home. Very Clean. Close to town center but not walk able for us. 5 mile ride to Big Sky ski resort. The mud room was perfect for us skiers. We could remove our ski boots and not track in any snow. I would like to suggest owners look at the pots and pans and maybe replace some. Also add some dishes as we were always running out and needed to run the dishwasher constantly. We would definitely recommend this home. Also the skiing is super great!
The home was as listed and pictured. We were grateful that our crew was permitted to stay on the premises with ample parking. It was a relaxing space to come back to after working on the highway all day.
Excellent property and wonderful response/customer service. A little issue checking as the tablet we were supposed to use was dead and a worker came by to check on the hot tub without us knowing. However, the property manager was very responsive and got us set up very quickly.
Stayed 5 nights in Dec 2020

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Nice location, missing necessities
Pots, pans and knives were terrible. Flaking non stick coatings, knives broken. Beds ok, but generally felt uncared for by owner/manager.
House was very clean! Great for a group of friends, plenty of space! Was concerned about no air conditioning but the box fans with the cool Montana night air was perfect!
Great space for 3 adult couples, while centrally located to the slopes and to town.

Not clean and not comfortable
I have stayed in many ski properties over the years, and this was definitely the least clean I’ve ever seen. The listing was on VRBO, but it’s actually booked through “Stay Montana”. On arrival we were excited to settle in and a bit disappointed to find the decor super mismatched (mint green paint was jarring) but who cares! We came to ski. Disappointment continued with super low quality bedding and beds, personal items in drawers and closets (surprised since it’s a managed property) and extremely dirty blinds and baseboards. The whole unit is in need of a deep clean. For $600+ per night, we would have stayed at The Wilson where it is clean. The hot tub had a green tint that never went away though we followed instructions. It was impossible to reach anyone on the phone, and I left multiple messages which were not returned, though not to complain, just to advise we were checking out a day early, and no one even called me back to ask why or how our stay was going. There was a tablet in the unit that supposedly had a chat feature to reach someone in property management, but multiple chats went unanswered. We had so much fun in Big Sky, powder was awesome, So I in no way regret the trip, but would not recommend Stay Montana properties. We will book through a different company in the future.
