Liked: Check-in, location
First, the good: Nice, new house. Nicely appointed. Close to town. The Bad: The cleaning crew was not done by the 4 p.m. check-in time, which is very late when coupled with a 10am checkout. In their haste, they did not put pillow cases on some beds; there was a nasty stain on the pillow sham in the primary; a toilet paper holder was detached from the wall; and the trash bin in the garage was completely full.Second, the house DOES NOT have air conditioning. BIg Sky was near 90 degrees in the daytime during our stay. It is often this hot in the summer. To be fair, the listing did not mention AC, and I mistakenly assumed that an expensive new home would have modern climate control. We spent lots of time adjusting loud fans and opening and closing windows to make it bearable. Management said they would follow up and did not during our stay. I strongly suggest the listing be updated to affirmatively state the house does not have AC, so renters can decide for themselves. Finally, there is a new house being built immediately behind this rental. During our stay, the foundation was being dug. The dirt mound was unsightly, and the heavy equipment ran constantly. This should have been disclosed.Overall, it is a nice place. I found the cleaning and management service below par for a property of this quality. They should have affirmatively disclosed the lack of AC and the abutting active construction site. I had other choices at this price point this week and feel a bit duped.
