"We had a nice stay at the Chief Motel. Our room was very clean, with spotless white towels and fresh bedding. It was also equipped with a microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator/freezer, which was very convenient.
The motel and pool area are a bit dated, and the pool water was too cold for swimming. However, the staff made a great impression—the lady at the front desk was very friendly, and everyone else was helpful as well.
Overall, a clean, comfortable place with excellent service."
"The bed was so comfortable. I slept amazingly. The pillows were great. The hot tub was lovely. Didnt stay long enough to go to the cafe. Staff was very nice to work with"
"Old fashioned chalet rooms in separate buildings. When the night got cold, she gladly brought us an electric heater since the furnace was off for the season. Gave her phone number for all night assistance if needed. Parking was convenient and assigned for each chalet. Very reasonably priced and clean. No breakfast, but fridge n microwave in the room."
"This is an ideal location to visit Custer State Park, and it is not too far away from Mt Rushmore. This hotel is a great value and even has a continental breakfast. It was clean and comfortable."
"This unit had a better kitchen than one I had previously stayed in. It had a medium-sized refrigerator/ freezer. There is a great grocery store with reasonable prices just down the hill, Lynns Dakota Mart. The Mickelson Trail and a small Park are easily accessed a few blocks away."
