Cozy Custer Cottage: Family-Friendly, SD Charm, Bar, Deck & Walk to Dining
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our whole stay. The town is very charming. The house is perfectly set up. We did not need anything while we were here and just enjoyed our time here in Custer."
"This place is absolutely perfect! I was looking for a quiet getaway to spend time reading and praying. If I needed to leave, this place is within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. My room was well-designed and very clean. It felt like coming into a cozy cottage, with a luxurious shower! I brought groceries for my couple-day stay, and there was plenty of room for prep and the cabinets well-stocked with cookware. Couch and bed were both comfy. Communication was great, check-in and check-out were simple."
"Room was great for our trip. Ground floor pets. Easy in and out for check in and out.
Front desk staff was kind, informative and quick. The indoor pool wasn't the warmest but it's shape and style was very unique. Free on site laundry with nice washers and dryers was incredibly helpful after our long trip. AC could use an upgrade and filter needed replaced. Still worked well enough though. The little quirks were cute; colored trash bags, shapes and style of furniture. In the front office there were books and games to use at your leisure which was nice. We loved the style of the Inn itself. Restaurant next door was a great atmosphere for kids, grab and go kinda food was good and not too pricey.
Overall would love to come back for a visit when its a bit warmer to use the outdoor pool also. "

"I’ve stayed in a few vrbos, but this one is by far my favorite. All the charm of the Old West with all the convenience of modern amenities. Wonderful location walkable to many restaurants, grocery store, drug store, and gift shops. This location is also only a short drive to many Black Hills attractions, including notably Custer State Park. I love this place and hope to stay here during all my annual trips to the Black Hiils! "
