Poolside was nice and you can get food there. There are 2 pools. There is no beach. Many of the staff are foreign born but their English is good enough that they are able to assist you.

Sugarloaf Key Hotel at KOA Resort
Stayed in one of the apartments. Good location if key west accommodation is too pricy or unavailable - approx 25min drive. Nice pool, jacuzzi and bar set-up. Only negative was very uncomfortable mattress on sofa bed.

We were on the phone for over an hour with expedia customer service goung back and forth about our check in time, but luckily when we got there the worker was super friendly and had everything ready for us.
