The cabin was perfectly located within a short drive of everything to do in Big Bear and a nice cozy cabin and the end of the road to get the living in the woods vibe. Definitely recommend
I wanted to celebrate a relaxing time with my family and our 2 dogs for my birthday and that is what I had! This location is close enough to The Village but was also tuck in an area that was quiet and peaceful during our walks in the morning. We spent our time shopping, checking out the different restaurants, and went to Boulder Bay Park early and enjoyed the lake to ourselves. The property was so clean and it had a beautiful deck we get to enjoy when the weather got cooler in the late afternoon. Our dogs enjoyed hanging out with us and feels at home as well! It was a memorable birthday!
The cabin was comfortable and quaint. It is in a quiet, beautiful, forested area. The managing company was very easy to work with and provided everything that was needed. I had a great stay!
Very nice property!
Cozy and feels like a mountain getaway.
Small kitchen but, plenty good for two people. Nice to sit in the deck and relax.
Would stay again!
We chose this property because of its location. We were able to walk to the 4th of July Fireworks! We were minutes from all restaurants and activities. The cabin was so quiet and clean. Thank you so much!
The property was well taken care of and kitchen was well put together. The only issue we had was that the beds were unforgivingly hard. Other than that we loved the place.
This place is super cute and at the end of a quiet block. The welcome gift for my dog and the dog-friendly list was such a nice tough. My only tiny inconvenience was that it is not a short walk to the village. It’s about 1.5 miles away and all up hill on the way back.
I stay in Big Bear quite frequently and always use vrbo or "the other site". People often lose sight with their listings in Big Bear and start to make them to modern or sort of bland and generic. Not this spot. A lovely rustic charm without sacrificing comfort or cleanliness. You feel like you're in a cabin in the woods, which seems obvious, but trust me, not all the folks that rent out understand that charisma. 10/10 would stay again.

Had to change to another cabin
The property manager called us on our way to big Bear to confirm that we were coming before close time, and then failed to tell us that we had to drive miles from the location of the cabin to check in. When we arrived to the cabin the neighbors trash was so offputting that we asked to be moved. They did move us to another cabin, failing to tell us that there was no air-conditioning. This cabin was much further away from the lake. Although the cabin was clean, multiple features were missing including a binder that should have had a key to get into the hot tub. The washer and dryer were also not working. When you leave a cool cabin you also must take all of your trash and drive it across big bear lake town to avoid any extra cleaning fees. While I understand not leaving trash all over the cabin, I think that having to round up bags of trash on your way out of town seems unnecessary and not very hospitable. As a matter of fact the instructions were to pretty much clean/do everything except the laundry. again I am not one to leave a residence in a complete mess however it seems a little much to expect people to completely clean everything on vacation.
Great Location, Affordable, Description Needs Some Clarification
This is great location and a very cute little property. We love what it COULD be. You do have to check in at a rental management office down the road.
I will say that if you want a cabin-like experience, this is your place. Very cabin-like with cute and quaint features. We were specifically looking for two bedroom, two bath. The pictures suggested we had that space and privacy. However, The "main bedroom" is a loft, which is comfortably sized. But there is no physical sound separation from the downstairs. That en-suite had only a tub. Where you do have a toilet, you have to share downstairs shower. The beds and pillows are very hard and there were no extra blankets. So bring your own pillows and extra blankets. Also, there are only a few very small and rough towels for the shower. So you will probably want to bring those as well. Lastly, no fans. We were there in the summer. The nights cooled off very well. But the daytime heat all rises to the loft. So without fans, that heat stays a while. We bring one with us, so we able to mitigate.
That all said, we still enjoyed our three night stay very much. We used the kitchen for breakfast all three days and cooked one dinner there. There is a spacious deck/patio to enjoy the outdoors and the neighborhood is quiet and pretty.
