Appledore cottage with parking near waterfront

Patchwork is a lovely three-bedroom cottage sleeping up to 4 guests in a quiet street, just a short walk to the Quay in the pretty village of Appledore. Offering parking, comfortable accommodation with wood burning stove and beautiful views from the rear terrace it's a great location for your next North Devon break.

Walkthrough...
The main living area is a cosy sitting-room/dining area with a log-burning stove, smart TV and sofas seating 4 people and a dining table that extends to seat 6 people. Downstairs there is also a bright, modern kitchen and utility room with a washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. From the kitchen, the back door gives access to the lower courtyard garden (a lovely spot for early morning coffee or a refreshing drink after walking, surfing or golf). From the courtyard, there are steps up to the upper terraced garden and deck.

Upstairs, you will find the master bedroom with a king-sized bed, a single bedroom at the rear with views of the garden and a further bedroom which is a generous single overlooking the courtyard. There is also a modern, recently refurbished bathroom with a shower over the bath and, additionally, a bathroom with shower adjoining the rear single bedroom.

The kitchen is new for 2023 and has granite worktops with seating for three at an integral breakfast bar - perfect for pre-dinner drinks whilst someone rustles up dinner. The owner and her family use Patchwork as their own holiday cottage, staying on a regular basis, and so has aimed to fit it out as a proper home from home rather than a standard holiday let. In 2020 the whole of the downstairs, exterior and some of the upper rooms were completely redecorated. We also enlarged and improved the parking area at the rear of the garden at the same time.

Who we think it's suitable for...
- Families wanting to explore the North Devon coast.
- Surfers... There are a number of fantastic beaches within a short drive.

Need to know...
- The property has a VERTUO Nespresso machine for which pods are provided in the welcome box.
- With regret the property does not accept pets.
- The property does not accept children under 5 years old including infants.
- Guests should be aware that from the parking space there are steps leading down to the property. The front of the property is pedestrian only.
