"Excellent communication from host & easy check in with key lock. Room was spacious & comfortable for our family of 4. The only negative was that we hadn’t realised that bathroom would be downstairs, which resulted in the kids being a bit anxious about going on their own, as it’s a shared house and they weren’t comfortable wandering around the house on their own with strangers. "We have stayed here a few times since it opened. To come to the spa is very much part of the break. The pools are lovely. Having paid for a junior suite we were then told it was £40pp for spa entry. What % of customers do not go to the spa. Really it is an increase in the room rate under a different guise and feels rather underhand. The breakfast also lacked some of the finesse of previous visits. The croissants and pastries seemed tough and probably cooked well before breakfast. The French toast was served on a piece of thin sliced bread. Not a fluffy plump piece of bread and had consequently burnt edges and generally not French toast. My husbands kippers were minute with a chunk of lemon on the side. Previously the lemon was in a linen cloth tied with a bow so pips were contained. It is the little touches that had all been cut back on, yet these tiny details are what made the crescent special and stood out from the crowd. I think Champagne's you are letting The Crescent down, which is such a shame. We have always recommended a stay now hesitant to do so."
