Bedroom was a good size and clean. good facilities. bed mattress was too soft for my wife and I but comfortable. Outside lights to the back of the property were still on around 1..30 pm which disturbed our sleep pattern a bit. "Received a warm welcome from the owners and staff at The River Don Tavern. Had a lovely meal, well cook with generous portions. "Right from setting foot in the place, we were made to feel very welcome. We were shown to our room, even though we arrived three hours early and only wanted to see if we could drop off our bags. An ideal location for the Malton food festival. The only real issue we had was no parking, due to the festival. This issue was easily resolved by using a certain app to rent a local drive for the night. We were constantly asked if we needed anything and if things were ok with our stay. Very friendly...

"We had such a lovely 2 night stay here! The lodge was in pristine condition, with all necessities like tea, coffee, milk. The hot tub was ready for us to get in.
