"The property was lovely and comfortable. The driveway up to the cabin was very steep and somewhat difficult to manage after all the rain we had there. The actual directions to the driveway were inaccurate, thank goodness we ran into a neighbor that showed us the way!"

"We enjoyed our stay at this cabin! It was really pretty, clean, and cozy, with a super comfortable bed and couch. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub after a long drive. It was a nice place to unwind and enjoy some time away, and we’re glad we got to stay here!"

"I had stayed at Higher Ground in July, so when my northern relatives wanted to experience the north Georgia mountains, I knew the perfect place to stay! The house is beautifully furnished, with comfy beds and a kitchen equipped for all our cooking needs. We did all the fun fall activities- exploring downtown Ellijay, apple orchard, Burt's Pumpkin Farm, Amicalola Falls, and Roos Vineyard and Winery. After our exploring, it was great to come back to Higher Ground and relax on the deck on that outdoor furniture!"

"My trip was a rather last minute thing so the reservation, check in, and my stay was wonderful- loved how cozy the cabin was- throughly enjoyed the Jo tub after a long day of hiking Amicalola state park I certainly would enjoy another visit!"

"Didn’t realize there were neighbors as close as there were, but could have been my mistake in looking at the pictures. Neighbors didn’t cause an issue and wouldn’t keep us from returning. had everything we needed. Absolutely loved sitting in the rocking chairs on the covered porch. I accidentally locked the key in the cabin on a weekend and the response from the rental team was amazing. Zero cell service, but that is exactly what we were looking for so it didn’t phase us. Would recommend to anyone."

"Our women’s group from our church used this property for our yearly retreat. Communication with our hosts was great—they answered any questions we had and were very responsive! And we were very thankful for their detailed directions! The views were stunning, and the property was big enough to accommodate our group of 17 women. While we enjoyed our stay (the views were the best!), there were things that were unexpected and we wish we would’ve known up front before booking. We did not realize that the cabins didn’t have a full bathroom. The listing said each bathroom had at least a toilet and shower, and no where in the listing info or on the pictures was there mention of a bathhouse. We did find one mention of it in the check-in info sent the week of the trip, but we totally missed that when reading over it because we had read the listing multiple times before deciding on this property for our trip, so we didn’t question the bathroom situation until we got there & saw that there weren’t showers in each bathroom. No half baths were listed in the property info. Another surprise was the 4 cats that greeted us & stayed on the porch the whole weekend. It made it very hard to enjoy the beautiful porch & views—they all tried to get your food or drink if you wanted to sit outside to eat. We had ladies in our group who are highly allergic to cats. We also had to clean thick dust off the vents to the air units in the cabins, & the property in general is in need of a good deep clean."
