We rented "The Lodge" to hold our church's annual men's retreat and it was wonderful! Plenty of room, great location, quiet, restful, and spiritually renewing! We had a wonderful weekend in a wonderful location and everyone who went thoroughly enjoyed their stay! We highly recommend "The Lodge" to anyone who wants a relaxing getaway in the North Georgia mountains!
Our church rented "The Lodge" for a Men's Ministry Retreat Weekend. We felt that it offered the space and serenity that we were looking for - and we were not disappointed! The "Main Lodge" was spacious and comfortable for our meals and studies, while the bedrooms and cabins were comfortable. All-in-all we had a wonderful time that was made better by staying at The Lodge! We hope to come back and stay here for future retreats!
We had a large group stay at this wonderful Lodge and it met and exceeded our expectations. Rooms were clean, Kitchen well stocked, plenty of room for 18 people to move around in main house without being cramped. The only thing I would add, would be to stock Kitchen with heavy duty big spoons instead of cheap plastic. Overall this place was excellent.
This rental is AWESOME for a large group. The main lodge has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and then the other two buildings have 8 beds with a bathroom each. The game room has foosball, air hockey and a couple other things. The kitchen is large and allows for lots of room to cook. I will say, we struggled finding things to cook with and there was only one frying pan but other than the selection of cooking utensils, it was great! Very very cute area. The driveway is a little steep and can be slippery in the rain but we didn’t have any issues. Overall, great place.
Such a great location! The mountain view is incredible! The two bunkhouses, allowed us to divide our guys in early birds at night owls… and then the three bedrooms allowed us to pair up guys with special needs like a CPAP machine or something that would a disturbed everybody else! The kitchen facilities were amazing! Having to full Stowes in a double sink, and I'm working dishwasher really made a difference! And then having to long buffets to leave food out, was also super helpful! The gathering area was perfect for us to circle up 20 some guys… But then guys could spread out if they wanted weather down by the fire pit or out on the porch or up by the Jacuzzi or up in the game room, or going for a hike… They had everything we needed as far as linens (a set on each bed… fitted sheet, regular sheet pillow and pillowcase and wool blanket for the beds, and a towel and washcloth) and the number of plates and bowls and silverware or perfect for a large group! The only thing was that we kept running out of mugs, but that just meant we had to wash them. It is rustic, but comfortable as there is adequate heat for everywhere… As we said perfect for our guys though probably our ladies would like something more… So grateful!
r stay. The kids had a good time fishing at the pond everyday. Our group had a lot of fun playing kickball and wiffle ball down in the large field. We cooked breakfast daily and had plenty of room for our large group to eat meals together.
All the rooms and cabins where in a really great spot. Kitchen is awesome. Views are incredible. Super secluded. Overall a really great experience.

Good visit
We had a very enjoyable stay. The owners are very pleasant and easy to work with. It feels like the facility could use some updates and a really deep clean. But we would stay again.
Our group came to the mountains for a church college retreat. We loved the property, the owners and family were so communicative, friendly and helpful! Lots of room and plenty of ways to relax and enjoy nature. Would highly recommend this rental and we hope to go back!
We used the property to host a small wedding and it could not have been better! The house was big enough to host everyone comfortably and we couldn't get over the views! Michael was incredibly kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend to anyone looking to host an event!
The place is a complete dive! Toilet kept plugged up, kitchen was filled with dirty dishes, cook wear, pots & pans. The cabins are a pig pen, very few towels. Washer & Dryer were in a separate addition and was covered with spider webs. I had to clean the refrigerator out and wash all kitchen utensils and appliances. The family left. We booked this stay almost a year ago and looked forward to this getaway. The only positive outlook will be when refund is resolved.

Nice but more details needed
We enjoyed our stay. However it is worth noting that the bunk houses only have half baths and there is a shower house on the property that badly needs updating. The main cabin could be cleaner... cobwebs, dust, etc. Also, none of the outdoor yard lights were working which made travel from bunkhouses to main house difficult at night. HOWEVER, we really enjoyed our stay and the hosts were very nice and courteous. Would recommend to other groups.

Men's Retreat
From the way the property was listed, I was unaware of how inconvenient it would be for a group of men, some of whom are senior citizens and have accessibility issues. I thought there were showers in each cabin, and had no idea how steep the drive and access to rooms were. I didn't not recall seeing anything about a bath house. The exterior of the property was not well kept and very overgrown.
This property was awesome for our friends getaway! I loved having by the cabins for the kiddos! We did a girls cabin and a boys cabin. The property was beautiful with so much space for outdoor roaming. Fully stocked kitchen! Would rent again!
We are a ministry who serves women healing from domestic abuse. My staff and director all needed special time to connect, bond and let go of stress from the challenging work we do. Harper’s Creek gave us a special place for that to happen. Thank you for being a part of our refreshment!
