    The Space:

    The Haven is a reverse-level house with one super-king-size and a twin serviced by a bathroom with bath and shower over, basin, heated towel rail and WC. Upstairs, there’s an open-plan living space with a kitchen equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, 2 x fridge/freezer washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle and toaster, a dining area and sitting area with a Smart TV and woodburning stove. WiFi, fuel, power and starter pack for woodburning stove, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Highchair and travel cot are available. Outside there’s off-road parking for 2 cars, a non-enclosed front garden with lawn and furniture and an enclosed rear garden with lawn and patio. One well-behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 3.8 miles and pub 3.7 miles. Bring your family year after year to The Haven. Note: There are two steps down to the front garden. Note: Check-in is from 4pm, check-out by 10am. Monday or Friday check-in only.



    The Neighborhood:

    The historic village of Norham is most famous for its splendid Norman Castle ruins overlooking the River Tweed, painted by Turner in 1845. The village has an excellent butcher and bakery, a Post Office, grocer, newsagent and two pubs. Also nearby in the village of Allanton is a good restaurant which is great for fishing and shooting parties as well as the Cross Inn at Paxton. Berwick-upon-Tweed is just 7 miles away, at the northern tip of Northumberland’s beautiful Heritage Coast, boasting many restaurants, cafes, pubs and a nearby links golf course. The Scottish capital of Edinburgh or the city of Newcastle are easily accessed by train from Berwick. A superb base for exploring all North Northumberland has to offer.
