Great place to stay for a night or 2, not sure I'd enjoy staying longer mainly because it's very difficult to see your suitcase contents in the dimly lit areas! Overall very positive. Stayed in a double capsule. Pretty spacious, easy to access and large locker nearby. Managed to fit 2 medium suitcases inside the locker. The beds are reasonably comfortable. I got a little achy lying on my side. Clean, spacious bathrooms with decent showers. Towels included. Would definitely recommend trying out especially as in central Berlin. Very glad I've experienced it.

Very cool experience. Would definitely go again. But their mattresses are super dull and alittle flat. Also the bathroom doesn’t have fan so it’ll be steamy inside the bathroom a lot. Doors are alittle hard to close. And only one air duct worked inside. HOWEVER, I would still go back because inside it was very clean and they washed the bathrooms daily. They give you a locker to store a carry on luggage. Go try it out!

Very happy with our stay at Space Night Hostel. Very quiet at night, bathrooms were always clean, and fresh towels provided daily. Stayed in a double capsule with my son and we had more than enough room. Only negative is that the air blowing from the vents were not that cool and I needed to keep the capsule door slightly cracked to receive good airflow, but it would not keep me from staying there again. We frr we let very safe there and in the general area even at night. Staff was super friendly.

Its a unique hostel based on pod concept and the ambience is pretty cool. The staff is nice and helpful and it is conveniently located close to the city center. You can walk to all the major attractions from the hostel. The pod gives the feeling of your own space and privacy and I felt very comfortable. They have pods for single and double occupancy and if you need extra space then go for double. Overall it is a cool place to stay and I definitely recommend this place to other travelers.

It is a cool atmosphere, the staff were friendly and helpful. There is no sign outside of the building to signify that there is a hostel inside. The biggest thing is that it was uncomfortably hot in the pods, 28°C/82°F. There is only a small fan in the pod which is far from adequate.

Jednak przydałoby się jakieś miejsce ze światłem dziennym i przestrzeń wspólna (siedzenia przy recepcji nie były wygodne). Warto mówić gościom, żeby nie rozmawiali w nocy, bo jednak te kapsuły nie są bardzo dźwiękoszczelne.

Not all pods are equal
I've stayed in pods before, in Sydney and Bilbao and thought I knew what to expect here and I did to a point, but this just wasn't as good as those. A big thing for me was the in pod safe wasn't working and when I asked about it, I was told "Viruses" I asked what was meant and got a pretty vague reply. Maybe they just weren't working and that would have been an acceptable answer, but assuming this doesn't double as a secret bio lab, then it makes little sense as a reason. The other thing is the doors are fiddly to close, especially the top pods which needs both hands or to move a door slightly until they catch together, then we can pull the whole thing with one hand, but if balancing on the side steps, then just not what one would expect. Another thing I didn't experience in previous pods was the noise. Fair enough I guess, as there are so many pods all connected together, but they're made of a plastic that transfers the noise and vibrations badly. I would pay more for a double pod if I were to visit again as they're in a quieter room with better doors etc, but next time i'm in Berlin, I would probably just stump up more for a room in a hotel. Positives though..... It's in a good part of town with easy walking for most to some major sites Tresor/Kit Kat are about 20-25 minutes walk, or slightly quicker using the metro. Checkpoint Chalie is maybe 10 minutes walk or less and there's a cool beach beer garden a bit closer. There's a supermarket too a minute walk or so

The staff was great. I have two complaints: the inability to turn off the LED switch lights in the pods, they are so bright it’s hard to sleep at night. Also, the bathrooms smell really bad.

Space Pod Hostel
We stayed at the Space Night Hostel in Berlin for 4 nights in late November. It’s definitely on theme! When you do arrive the signage is a small paper sign on the door, don’t be alarmed you are in the right place. Head inside and up the out of service escalators. Check in was easy, we were shown to our pod and locker to store our luggage. The bathrooms are private, spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable. The hotel was overall pretty cold- so dress for sleep accordingly. Everyone was really respectful of noise in the evening and morning as well. Pleasantly surprised. One note: You can get the doors open while it is “locked” needing key access to open. We would suggest you put your valuables in the lockers when you’re out for the day. They were much more secure. We would stay here again for sure, and would suggest you do as well, but probably for 1-2 nights maximum. 4 nights was just a couple too many.

Really cool place and an odd experience. Everything was pretty clean and even though the bathrooms are shared they’re well kept. Receptionist was lovely and really helpful. The pod was quite nice, a good option for a short stay as the bed it’s not the most comfortable but overall really nice place!

Not easy to find.
Not easy to find - I got a Taxi and although he dropped at the address he did not know the property - luckily a coffee shop was open and able to direct me - It is on the 1st floor next to a Tedi store. At street level there is only a small sticker on sliding doors. Google maps will help. The location is good. and is as described on the listing.. It is a different experience and all the better for that. I only had a couple of issues - when you open the capsule with your key - inside is dark and to turn on the lights you need to put your key in a slot in the middle - a small night light would help to identify. To open the doors from the inside you needed both hands - not easy in a limited space. I enjoyed Berlin and my stay and for the time of year the weather was very nice.

Staff were all able to communicate in English and they were very friendly. The common areas were kept clean. Public transportation is very close and affordable. Many important historical sites are close either with a brief walk or a bus or underground ride. For improvement, I would have enjoyed a small table and chairs available in the lobby area to sit and use the wifi and eat lunch.

Cool place for a quick stay , obviously a bit noisy etc. But definitely worth the experience . Front desk people were nice and friendly, just remember to ask for a charger for your gadgets, there is no outlet in a cubicle .

The pods them selves were good and cozy, no insulation what so ever. The receptionist ( blond female) was very rude, let us wait for around ten minutes and then called us rude when we tried to get help. And for some reason they were cleaning the bathrooms between 07-08 when everyone was getting ready for the day so there was always a queue, they should do that cleaning around lunchtime when there isn’t a high pressure on the bathrooms. I would say that it’s fine for a 1-3 nights stay but not for a longer stay. Will most likely not stay with them again

Top Hostel, mit kleinem Verbesserungspotenzial
Zu erst einmal: Die Mitarbeiter waren super freundlich, der Service war Top. Auch Sauberkeit war top, die Badezimmer waren sauber, die Kapseln auch. Insgesamt ein sehr schönes Erlebnis. Die einzige Sache, die mir nicht so gut gefiel war das Bett: Die Matratze war leider sehr hart und man hat sich ein wenig so gefühlt als würde man auf einem Boden schlafen. Mir hat das nichts ausgemacht, ich hab trotzdem 8 Stunden gut durchgeschlafen, aber jemand der vielleicht nicht ganz so "hart im nehmen" ist, könnte damit evtl. Probleme kriegen. Es gibt vorne an der Rezeption ein Snackautomaten, gegenüber ist ein Tedi und 1-2 Minuten Fußmarsch ein LIDL. Also für Versorgung ist bestens gesorgt. Die Badezimmer waren top zustand, sauber und hatten alles was man braucht (Toilette, Waschbecken, Papier war immer aufgefüllt, saubere Dusche). Was ich ein bisschen schade fand ist, dass die Steckdosen außen an den Kapseln waren, sodass man seine Kabel durch die Tür verlegen müsste, weil ich aber eh ne Powerbank für mein Handy dabei hatte, konnte mir das egal sein. Der einzige negative Punkt ist noch, dass es sehr hellhörig ist. Dafür hab ich mir aber einfach Ohropax ins Ohr gestopft und davon nichts mehr mitbekommen. Daran sollte man aber definitiv denken, wenn man Probleme hat mit Geräuschen einzuschlafen. Auch die Lüftung hört man auf jeden Fall. Insgesamt eine sehr schöne Möglichkeit unterzukommen, wenn man wirklich nur etwas zu Schlafen sucht und nicht ganz so viel Budget hat. Klare Empfehlung
