Close enough to the underground for Berlin centre

Clean hotel with good continental style breakfast and interesting central spiral staircase to roof located breakfast room. Located on the edge of the red light district so interesting kerb side scenes but no real offence or problems. Good value overall.

Litet charmigt hotell med bra läge

Charmigt hotell som överraskade stort när vi kom in på den lugna gården från den ganska stökiga gatan utanför. Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Bra frukost. Bra läge med gångavstånd till många sevärdheter. Varmt utan luftkonditionering, men så var det också några riktigt varma dagar.

The rooms were very nice, the breakfast was outstanding. A bit far off the beaten path for our quick stay, but if you don’t mind being a little further out, it’s a great place.

Die Lage ist überraschend. Gelegen in einem der riesigen Hinterhöfe. Daher sehr ruhig. Zumindest am WE. Werktags werden hff bald die Bauarbeiten an den umliegenden Häusern erledigt sein. Sehr freundliches Personal. Frühstück alles das, was man braucht.

Hôtel accueillant situé dans un quartier calme, proche des transports notamment le métro. Personnel très sympathique , qui parle français. Nous avons passé un super séjour.

Okay für das Wochenende

Das "Begaswinkel" ist sicher kein High-End-Hotel, sondern vielmehr hat es einen gewissen Charme und Anmut vergangener Zeiten. Es ist im Ganzen gut gepflegt, alle Notwendigkeiten sind vorhanden. Außer einem Fahrstuhl - der fehlt leider. TV und WLAN funktionieren problemlos, Frühstück ist kein Highlight, aber solide. Das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis ist für Berlin top. Die Genthiner Straße ist nicht schön, aber es ist nur ein kurzer Fußweg zu den netteren Ecken.

Ruhiges Hotel mit netten Zimmern und Dachterrasse

Vorabbelastung (50,- €) der Kreditkarte "ob sie funktioniert", bei online-Buchung ... ein wenig unüblich. Mal sehen, ob das wirklich wieder storniert wird. Ansonsten ein super Hotel! Leise in einem Hinterhof gelegen, individuell eingerichtete Zimmer mit Parket, eine Dachterrasse zum Frühstücken, auch wenn dieses nur Basic ist. Wenn die Wespen nicht gewesen wären ... :)

Mysigt personligt hotell

Trevligt personligt bemötande. Jättefin frukostbuffé. Tyvärr ingen AC på rummet, men vi fick låna en fläkt. Vi hade lite otur med byggarbetsplats precis utanför, som drog igång tidigt. Promenadavstånd till många sevärdheter. Saknade kylskåp på rummet.

Wonderful staff, clean hotel and great breakfast

My stay was amazing. I will definitely return to the same hotel, if I visit Berlin again. Very nice location, clean hotel and a very friendly staff that was making every effort to make their guest feeling happy and special.

Nettes Hotel in unübersichtlicher Lage

Für einen Städte Trip haben wir uns aufgrund des guten Preises für dieses Hotel entschieden. Das Preis Leistung Verhältnis ist hier völlig in Ordnung und wer keine großen Ansprüche hat, für den ist dieses Hotel geeignet. Zur Lage : Das Hotel liegt in einer Seitenstraße hinter einer Gebäudefront und ist schlecht ausgeschildert. Wir mussten mehrmals nachfragen. Die angrenzenden Straßen wurden all abendlich von "jungen Frauen" benutzt. Angesprochen wurden wir nicht. Zwei U-Bahn Stationen liegen in unmittelbarer Umgebung und sind gut zu erreichen. Wir brauchten max. 10 min bis in die Stadt. Zimmer : Hier steht Sauberkeit ganz vorn. Das Badezimmer war top und auch der Rest war ok. In unserem Zimmer gab es keinen Safe. Die Möbel könnten etwas moderner sein, bei einer Schublade fehlte der Beschlag. Und die Betten könnten etwas größer sein. Das Bild des Fernsehers war nicht so gut. Für eine Städte Reise zum schlafen ausreichend. Service/Frühstück : Die Damen/Herren sind alle sehr freundlich. Die Rezeption ist aber nicht rund um die Uhr besetzt. Beim Check in bekamen wir direkt einen Stadtplan und es wurden uns Tips zum Essen und Freizeit gegeben. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und ausreichend. Für jeden was dabei. Parkplätze : Das Hotel verfügt über eine Tiefgarage. Die muss dringend gesäubert werden. Desweiteren sollte sie nicht für jeden zugänglich sein. Sie ließ leider zu wünschen übrig. Fazit : Für eine kurze Städte Reise ist das Hotel ausreichend.

Residenza storica

Hotel un po' decentrato, ma grazioso e sicuramente con un passato importante. L'unico neo è rappresentato dalla presenza, sia di giorno ma soprattutto di sera, di lucciole nella strada che porta all'albergo e dalla scarsa illuminazione circostante, non rassicurante per famiglie con bambini. Le stazioni dei bus e della U Bahn sono abbastanza vicine, ma il personale apposito, se presente, parla solo tedesco.

Posizione molto centrale anche se per arrivarci bi transita da una specie di passaggio che sembra dismesso e che non fa parte dellla struttura che consiste in una villa mantenuta in condizioni evcellenti e silenziosissima

Booked this hotel for 1 night stay. Service was exceptional. Our heavy bags were carried down (and later back up) the stairs - there is no lift. On arrival, we asked about a refrigerator and the porter immediately brought us a small fridge unit! Breakfast was fine, nothing fancy but adequate. Residenz Begaswinkel is a small, boutique 20 room hotel and we were surprised it was as quiet as it was. Its location is a little unusual - it is down a driveway and not very clearly signposted, however once located it was clear. The cul-de-sac it is in is very attractive - although local area is not all that picturesque. Walk to station takes about 7-10 minutes.

We stayed 3 nights here in September, 2016 during the hottest week over the century in Berlin. The weather outside was +32 degrees, extremely hot. Therefore the main disappointment with the hotel was that none of the rooms have air-conditioning and even the fridge... So it was impossible to stay in the hotel during the day - very hot, no ventilation even with windows opened and no ability to have cold water in the room. Apart that, the hotel is nice, spacious rooms, simple but elegant furniture, quite good breakfast. But do remember that apart from TV and stereo-system for ipod the room has nothing. No safe, no air-conditioner, no fridge, no kettle, ...

Trevligt litet hotell i lugnt läge

Positivt: Trevligt litet hotell med god frukost och mycket trevlig personal. Nära till tunnelbana med bra förbindelser. Rekommenderar detta hotell. Negativt: Internet fungerade inte hela tiden vilket jag var beroende av. Kan vara värt att veta att det är ett speciellt trick för att låsa upp ytterdörren som är last senare på kvällen.

Bra läge

Fantastiskt ställe mitt i Berlin med gångavstånd till många centrala platser. Nattetid fanns prostituerade på gatan i området men inte direkt vid hotellet.

Auf den ersten Blick alles top, aber dann.....

Hotel liegt sehr zentral im Bezirk Tiergarten. U-Bahn Kurfürstenstraße 7min zu Fuß entfernt. Von außen wirkt das Gebäude sehr edel und geschmackvoll. Auch beim bestreten bleibt der Eindruck so. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon gebucht, dieses haben wir auch bekommen. Auf den ersten Blick alles TOP aber dann....... Das Badezimmer war einfach nur dreckig und so groß wie meine Abstellkammer (gefühlte 1x1m). Wo die herrlichen Badezimmer wie auf den Fotos sind, weis ich nicht. Das Bad wahr kalkig an allen Stellen. Die Duschwand nicht wirklich sauber. Der Handtuchwärmer eingestaubt. Allen in einem ist das Bdezimmer von Größe und Sauberkeit bei uns durchgefallen, leider. Das Zimmer ist super groß hingegen wieder und auch von den Möbeln her geschmackvoll eingerichtet, Bett war super. Jedoch auch hier alles sehr sehr staubig. Wir hatten Ameisen im Zimmer zudem, dies war auch sehr unschön. Vom Frühstück war ich enttäuscht. Die Auswahl fehlt hier einfach. Kein frisches Obst, kein Müsli, keine Auswahl an Wurst und "nur" wässriger Filterkaffee. Die Frühstücksdame muss ich hier jedoch loben, super nette Frau :) Ich würde mir wünschen dass das Hotel an sich hier abeitet, denn wenn man ein wenig mehr den Gästen zeigt bzw. das Produkt hochwertiger anbietet könnte es nahezu perfekt sein. Das Haus hat dieses Potential.

Ett ok vandrarhem, inte 4-stjärnigt!

Halvtrasiga möbler, knappt någon belysning: detta var verkligen inte ett 4-stjärnigt hotell! Området är väldigt tråkigt med betongbunker, tomflaskor och prostituerade på gatan strax utanför lilla gården. Rent och enkelt, som ett vandrarhem i mindre trevligt område.
