Honestly a wicked good experience. Felt extremely safe, everyone was very relaxed and respectful of each other. lockers in the room are huge, could fit probably two duffel bags in one and a section for electronics. Lock for it costs about 3 bucks if you don't have your own. Bar was cool, though it mentioned breakfast but I never saw food available, maybe you had to ask ahead of time. Walkable about 10 minutes to food and bars and train station is nearby. I traveled alone here as a woman and stayed in the co-ed dorm and felt really secure the entire time. Really recommend.

Cleaners steal, bad service, doent respond via app
Night i landed the bar staff was completely drunk. He was so drunk it took 20 minutes of convincing for him to serve a beer, deapite being the only person asking to be served. They refused to serve tea for 40 minutes because the bar tender didnt think it was manly. He then forced vodka drinks on me that i didnt want. The cleaners doing the day went through my stuff and stole a packet of cigarettes the second day, and the third day my wedding ring that was on the counter was stolen by the cleaners. I messaged my complaints to the staff for 4 weeks via the app. They read my messages but didnt respond. Its a shame because the stay was fairly nice, its the staff and cleaners that are dodgy and unaccountable thieves

Sparkly clean, friendly and helpful staff, spacious beds and dorm, high celing (the hostel is retro-fitted in an old looking building), easy and smooth check in and out, firm and comfortable beds (yes, beds again), 3 mins walk to the closest U Bahn, and I had a Glühwein upon arrival on the house. This hostel is really beyond my expectation. You can party in the library bar on the ground floor or sleep quietly above. The bathrooms are well maintained and cleaned. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay!
Everything was great. The bar and the service were worderful. The bed was comfortable. Showers weren't the cleanest I've ever seen, but they were ok. Everything else (rooms and bathrooms) were perfectly ok. Would absolutely recommend! Also met several other travelers in the bar, and there's plenty of food/bar options nearby.

Berlin 1 week stay December
Excellent location for public transport to visit all Berlin sights. 10 minute walk to restaurants (all cuisines possible). Great room and bathroom. Good breakfast although slightly expensive. Great bar area. Brilliant team always available to help and provide information on what to visit etc. Definitely the best hostel we have stayed in (and we use hostels all the time when visiting places in Europe). Will use again when in Berlin next time. Very highly recommended.

When my friend and I arrived, the receptionist (Howie) was super friendly, funny, and helpful. We immediately felt welcomed even though we arrived at 2am. The hostel itself was impressive. Seemingly clean and spacious. You don't feel cramped in your room. However, after the second night, I woke up at 4am on the second night to find that both our beds had bedbugs. I was bitten on my face, ears, neck, and arms. The hostel staff washed our clothes in the machine (the bare minimum) but refused to change our rooms. Considering if at least two beds in a room have bed bugs, it's safe to assume they're everywhere. When I walked in during cleaning, housekeeping was just changing sheets and vacuuming, yet this usually isn't enough when you have a bed bug infestation. They hadn't even let others in the room know of the problem! After they told us we couldn't move rooms, I just felt like a sitting duck. I asked for a refund, which they only gave for the remainder of my stay (so I had to pay for 2 nights full of bed bug bites, thanks Grand Hostel Berlin!) and move to a hotel. The receptionists at the time of the bedbug ordeal were short cold towards us––we thought our demands were minimal at the very least. It's as if the hostel hadn't dealt with bed bugs before, and if they had, they just shrug and let the visitors brave it out. Happy with the initial reception, extremely disappointed in the lack of helpfulness in the end with the serious problem that is bed bugs.

Customer service, cleanliness and location are all A . I appreciate the Host giving us all the necessary tips to navigate the city. I would come back and stay here again without any reservations. It was super easy to get to and from via train. There is also a bus route a short walk away that takes you straight to the main central train station.

8 day stay.
I spent 8 days here (Saturday - Sunday) and it was so much fun. All the staff were on point with anything I needed. Places to go things to do questions about the hostel even as simple as just almost hanging out when I had some downtime to recover from the day at the hostel bar. Christian and Howard and Veerla and all the other around the clock staff really made it worth staying there. The breakfast was quite good as well.

Great place to stay for a low price
The place is really good and big and clean. Iran located in a good city area near Tram and Under stations so you can move around easily. Hosts are very friendly and always giving you the best advice they can. They have activities everyday which is great and the happy hour is great too. Rooms are clean and nice. Totally worth it.

The check in process was extremely easy and very welcoming with the staff, shots on the house upon check in! The staff was always there with recommendations and our excessive questions about Berlin. The rooms were clean, and we enjoyed the communal bathrooms in the hallways. If I came back to Berlin, I would definitely stay here again!

Really good hostel! Definitely recommend
This is a great hostel with such a laid back welcoming atmosphere. The staff here are amazing, they are more like fellow travellers as they are so chilled and easy going. The area is really close to the ubahn station that connects to other parts of the city so getting around is dead easy. The rooms are nice and the single bed layout rather than bunk beds is way more convenient and comfortable. If I travel to Berlin again I will definitely stay here again.

Good for drinks and a peaceful rest.
Great bar with fun people. The hostel isn’t overly large so the staff is quite attentitive and funny. Have some drinks early or late. You also get a free check in drink. The room smelled a tad musty, partiers resting the night off. but it’s nice to not have bunk beds. Was able to sleep well.

Great hostel for meeting people!
Amazing experience here. Location was terrific as public transportation is 1 min walk away. Close to lots of restaurants. The rooms are clean and they even have a bar and free water in public area. I would stay here again.

Great hostel with friendly and helpful staff.
Great hostel, was clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The only downside was that it was a little bit of a walk to the centre but there are good transport links with a metro station just outside. On arrival we were greeted with a cup of tea and were provided with a map and a lot of useful information about Berlin. There is a happy hour each day and i believe you can bring your own alcohol into the bar before a certain time. Rooms were large and airy whilst the beds were clean and comfortable, no bunk beds which was great. Would definitely recommend.
