Good place in Ostkreuz

The hostel is good located close to Ostkreuz station. Many restaurants and markets nearby. Rooms are simple but ok for a short stay. The kitchen could be better equipped.

Good size family room with separate en/suite toilet and shower room which was great. Good location near restaurants and transport links to other parts of the city. Fascinating history of the building. Great friendly helpful staff .

Excellent value, but not for a long stay

It's a hostel rather than a hotel, but it was clean, bathroom was ok Staff were really friendly and the bar area was nice. Breakfast was great and tasty so all good. I got a single room and at 6'2, it was small, but as a bed to crash, not a problem. Definitely great value if you're travelling alone or with a couple of friends for a weekend in a great city

Ok nice room with private bathroom- nice and clean. However room is lacking air conditioning or fan. Nice bar and very nice outdoor bar seating. Friendly and service oriented staff. But unfortunately so much noise at night from drunken guests.

This is a hostel. But it had a nice family section with a private bathroom. Not my usual choice, but it was nice. Very nice staff.

No lockers in room is a big no-no in my opinion. Also the phone chargers in my bunk-bed didnt work. Coupled with no new toilet rolls for 6 people in 4 days (yes we ran out halfway & the cleaner I stopped on the corridor just shrugged to say your room isn't on the list for change today)... it's not really enough for a £50 / night stay in a dorm room is it? Oh and they couldn't do a late check-out despite advertising the service. Good location mind

I missed the "s" in hostel, there were mostly college aged people there. You need to call ahead to reserve the limited on-site parking or use a parking garage a couple of blocks away. There is a lot of graffiti in the surrounding area which was off-putting. There are many eating choices nearby. Despite there being signs requesting quiet after 10pm, there was a group in the courtyard into the early morning hours that was not quiet and the voices carried up the walls. The room was very basic and included 2 small bath towels, no hand towels or wash cloths. Breakfast was good and filling. The experience reminded me of college dorms and the cafeteria. Nothing wrong with it, we just weren't in that mindset when we arrived. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the room was clean. The cleaning staff knocked and immediately opened the door 3 times, starting at 9am, check out time is 11am.
