About this property

18th century half-timbered house, classified ***, renovation 2019

  • Sebastien and Carine are happy to welcome you in their large cottage, both very old brand new, located in Bergheim, a small village vineyard terribly authentic, surrounded by medieval walls and located near all the sites must: Colmar (20mn) , Ribeauvillé (3mn), Riquewihr (10mn), Kaysersberg (15mn), Haut-Koenigsbourg (15mn), Strasbourg (40mn), Ecomuseum, Park of the Little Prince or Europapark (45mn).

    You will find all the comfort for 5 to 10 people, in this very spacious cottage (about 150m²). It is an 18th century village house, tastefully renovated in 2019. Everything has been redone: insulation, electricity, plumbing, heating, evacuations ... The owner is a contemporary artist, and the ground floor, completely separate from the rental, is his workplace: a workshop and an art gallery make it up. In the cottage you will find:

    - A separate kitchen, generously equipped: Large oven, A +++ dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, induction hob, double sink ... The drawers are well filled and everything is designed to make you feel almost at home.

    - A large living room with a 10p monastery table, and a large corner sofa in the TV corner (125cm, with DVD player and Internet box), a minichaîne...

    - 4 large rooms spread over 2 floors: 3 doubles (2 in 160x200cm and 1 in 140x200) and one with 2 single beds and a progressive bed). The beds are equipped with slatted bases, new duvets and pillows and each room is equipped with storage furniture: wardrobe, wardrobe ...

    -a laundry room: washing machine + dryer + iron and table

    - 2 new shower rooms + WC (one with double vanity, dry hair supplied)

    - At the top, under the roof (3rd floor): a playroom for older children (library, toys, dolls, board games, small TV with DVD), with an extra BZ (which could possibly be used as a 5th bedroom)

We enjoyed our stay as a family. Just a misunderstanding about the supply of towels. Coming from New Zealand we expected them to be automatically supplied. Sebastien kindly sorted it though. Enjoyed village and surrounding area was very interesting. Great castles and historic ww1 sites. Thanks.

This property was in the most wonderful location and for us, visiting the European Patchwork exhibitions, not too far to travel by car each day. There were several restaurants in the area but no supermarket so beware that you need to go into Ribeauville to get any supplies other than milk etc. Most wonderful Artisan bakery in our road for breakfast. The towel issue needs to be sorted out. We were directed by Sebastien after we had packed to bring our own towels which we didn't want to do. However, having packed our towels, we were then offered them by his assistant Svetlana when we arrived! Thank you Svetlana, we used your towels. Other than this, we were very happy in our accommodation and it suited us all.

Four of us stayed here and was perfect for us with 2 full bathrooms. We obviously didn’t need 3 of the bedrooms which were all very nice. The kitchen was well stocked although we just had breakfast there. The hosts were exceptional, checked with me a few times to be sure we had everything we needed. Bergheim is a quaint village that we enjoyed walking in and enjoyed 3 restaurants plus a wine tasting. It's location is ideal for visiting other villages close by.

Haus mit Charme, schön geräumig, zwei Bäder. Treppen knarzen und manche Türen klemmen ein bisschen, aber das ist nicht so schlimm. Sehr gute Ausstattung. Ich habe Verständnis, dass für ein Haus dieser Größe Handtücher nicht gestellt werden.

Fabuleux weekend à Bergheim

Nous avons passé 5 jours magnifiques à visiter les marchés de Noël de la région de Colmar. Nous étions tellement bien dans la maison de Sébastien à Bergheim , idéalement située au centre du village. Rien ne manque, une belle cuisine équipée, un beau grand salon qui jouxte la salle à manger et de nombreuses chambres qui permettent à chacun de garder son intimité.Une literie et une propreté impeccable.Il faut aussi souligner l'amabilité de Sébastien, soucieux du bien être de ses locataires.Nous y reviendrons très certainement !!!

Très chouette sejour à Bergheim

Nous avons passé 5 jours à Bergheim, charmante petite ville, idéalement située. Excellents contacts avec notre hôte, logement propre, agréable et conforme à la description. Cerise sur le gâteau: un petit cadeau de bienvenue et de bons conseils de promenades dans la région. Une adresse à retenir! Seul bémol: les contacts et l'administratif avec Abritel qui se sont fort détériorés ces derniers temps, c'est franchement dommage!

Fietsen in de Vogezen

Het is een heel prettig huis met alle voorzieningen die je wenst. De ontvangst was zorgzaam en vriendelijk. Zo ook het contact met de eigenaar Sebastien, gedurende de week. De plotseling niet meer werkende wasmachine is door hem onmiddellijk nagekeken en weer aan de praat gekregen (bleek een behandelingsfout van ons te zijn).

Randonnées le matin dans les environs, petites montées au Haut Koenigsbourg, visites l'après midi des villages et villes, musées… le musée de l’automobile de Mulhouse est remarquable avec sa collection de Bugatti…et jolies tables le soir. Les Alsaciens que nous avons rencontré ont été charmants et la région a une belle douceur de vivre. Merci à Sebastien pour son accueil très sympathique !
