"Very convenient location near the harbour but also very quiet. Good size clean room. No air con so may get a bit hot in the summer. Pleasant staff. Very good choice at the breakfast buffet. I didn't use the bar or restaurant so can't comment on those. Would recommend the hotel."

"Great value for money. Check-in was easy, as was check-out - the machine talks you through everything. Location is really close to the main tourist areas, like the harbour, and surrounded by grocery shops and bakeries for a quick bite. Room and bathroom was clean, and bigger than we were expecting considering we booked a ‘small’ room. The temperature gauge was a bit tricky to understand at first but we had a comfortable night’s sleep and couldn’t find any faults."

"The high points for our stay was the perfect view across the water at the colorful historic buildings, the great breakfast buffet variety available each morning and the professional friendly staff. The negatives: #1 - The bathroom sink leaked below when in use (my feet became wet while brushing my teeth). No maintenance staff was available on weekends so they moved us to a similar room on a higher floor. #2!!! - curtains were nice BUT they hung down over the room heater. I was concerned enough to clearly mention this potential fire-hazzard situation to the front desk when complaining about the leaky sink. However, they informed me that all of their rooms had draperies with sheer curtains that hung down resting on top of the heater. YIKES! #3 - The 2nd floor hallways and rooms smelled musty and the mattress was much too firm to get a good night's sleep. The nice view and prime breakfast would not be enough to make me a repeat customer at the Clarion Hotel Admiral in Bergen. "
