"It’s tucked deep in the mountains, with the nearest convenience store about a 12-minute drive away, so having a car is highly recommended. That said, the resort itself offers a wide range of amenities -including breakfast, onsen, and massage services - covering most of your needs during the stay. The highlight of this experience was being able to enjoy snowy scenery even in the third week of March. "
"We stayed as a family of four for 5 nights.
PROS:
- location was great, within walking distance to Anapuri
- the breakfast was great and changed daily which was nice
- the shared bathroom was clean
- it did feel family friendly and we liked meeting other folks in the common area
CONS:
- our room was ok - the heater and fridge didn’t work and it was clean-ish
- you have to walk through the dining area to access the communal showers which felt odd
- the staff also utilized the common areas so sometimes it was hard to know who was actually working and it felt like we were an inconvenience at times when we were asking for things like coffee in the morning
- in general, we felt the service was lacking for what we paid
"
"Room was very clean. Common areas very clean. The staff were extremely polite and helpfull. The food was so good. The onsen was a real treat. Highly recommend "
"Anupuri was 2 min drive or shuttle. Def the best slope for the family and the big boys. Staff was great super helpful. They emailed us regularly asking what we needed and what tours to book. Noa. Was super friendly and also Reese. Big bath tube. To soak in after the slopes. In house breakfast. Had good selection of cereals and hot eggs bacon toast and fruit... very quite and the views are amazing thanks agian def be going back"
"The hotel is dated; however, the outdoor onsen is a great experience. Mr. Y. Onimaru at the Front Desk was very friendly and provided excellence customer services during our stay. The breakfast is a combination of Japanese and western style. It is very yummy. Our original booking was a traditional Japanese room but found out there is no shower/bathing area inside the room which was unexpected. Ms. Sato at the Front Desk helped and moved us to a Japanese/Western room the next day so we had our own shower area and were able to experience sleeping on the tatami. The hotel provides shuttle services to 3 different ski resorts; however, the schedule to and back from Hirafu is very limited (even during peak season). They should consider providing shuttle services the same schedule as going to Annipuli during peak season. Need to take a taxi from Niseko Village back after dinner. It costs USD $40-50 each time.
May stay again because of the onsen and breakfast."
